The above trumps anything that you said except for you hoping that Floyd will duck someone ....... Floyd ducking trumps ALL!!!
you really think Floyd gives a sh* t about a belt ? its ALL about money now a-days, and based on that, Mayweather is the money maker and that authorizes him to set the terms. who is canelo ???? his own mother has never heard of him !

and again, canelo needs Floyd. Floyd can fight anyone and make millions, who else can say that ? come back to reality and acknowledge the facts

which deal would a great businessman take...deal A where he splits profits 50/50 and makes 100 million dollars or deal B where he splits profits 90/10 and makes 35 million dollars?

this is what I been thinking lately! It's the beginning of the negotiations so why not throw that out there. If I was canelo I would ask for 20 mil and a phone booth ring. It's just the start.

When you do that, you fight on that fighter's terms. Example Dawson vs Ward, Hatton vs May, Marquez vs May, Mosley vs May, Hagler vs Hearns. I can keep going, it has always been like this, led by Sugar Ray Leanord, Heck Ali when he was known as Cassius, had to give in the Sonny Liston's terms in the 1st fight, one of those request was a very small ring. Hagler even though he was the middle weight champ, had to give into Ray Leonard's terms, because Ray was the star. The ring was big as heck, the gloves were chosen by ray too. Bhop vs Tito, Bhop was the middle champ, but Tito was the star, Tito once again chose a smaller ring, and also got the bigger purse. DLH vs Pac, DLH called out and went down to 147, something he hasn't done @ that time in over 10yrs. Point is Canelo called out May, so why does May have to give into him, when May has clearly stated recently he's not comfortable @ 154, it's evident in both his fights vs DLH & Cotto.

I feel u 100%! I want to add on Floyd is pursuing a business venture! Alot of boxing fans are tunnel visioned when it comes to all the other aspects surrounding boxing (Money, press, fame, politics). Canelo isn't all what he is made out to be, neither was Del La Hoya! Hell for that matter neither is Floyd! The fans don't see the hype and build up to the "entertaining" aspect of the fights. When u REALLY listen to these build ups WE KNOW WHOS GOING TO WIN! The spin is how "interesting" and how "enduring" will this fight be? Canelo is a hype job just like manny & del la hoya... Difference is Floyd knows Del la Hoya will go out of his way to have a highway robbery when canelo fights floyd (we all know hoya hates floyd). Floyd is attempting to build his business on his 0 record and move forward in the financial aspect of boxing. What we are seeing unfold is that Floyd is one of the only boxers who understands all the mechanics outside boxing as well as inside, we all hate his B!tch moves as a fighter, but as a business man U HAVE TO RESPECT HIM.

My advice to fight fans (if they wanna see real fights with REAL intangibles and no politics) is to get more involved in random street fights or amateur boxing.

            Like I said, .... :

            Floyd ducking trumps ALL!!!

The sad thing in all this is that way down the line, you and the rest of the Floyd fans that are calling for "Floyd to duck" will be the same ones that will say "Floyd never ducked anyone"

are you really that ignorant ?

I am NOT a Floyd fan. I am a fan of the sport of boxing, unfortunately, it is now a business, too bad you don't see that.

Man Canelo doesn't care, he'll do his thing. You'll see soon enough he'll be taking the may and sept date for himself, since Mexicans are not buying Khan, Alexander, Garcia, Maidana...

I'm telling you, Floyd needs him more. That's cause he'll be forced to fight him, by SHO/GBP/Haymon, if there's any way, contractually. Else this deal is a distaster for all, the money's gonna dry up for everyone else. And the longer Floyd keeps putting it off, the scarier it's gonna get, unless Canelo is exposed along the way

                  It's clever:

                  1. make the opponent think you're a scared b1tch
                  2. make him pay for underestimating you

Lets hope he doesn't forget about step 2 again.

I don't disagree, I was just explaining the point of view from the guys whom got called out, and how history shows/showed how it goes
