In the Guinn fight (and Guinn threw more punches than Rahman ever will) Toney threw and average of 80 punches per round for the first nine, and threw over 100 punches per round in 10 through 12.
And that was at 235lbs.

toney is a great fighter, always will be and regardless of what happens i dont think he can tarnish his legacy.
rahman is a bum of a champ, its no wonder that toney has chosen the two biggest bum champs (rahman, ruiz) of the last 20 years as the guys to go after for a title. he is looking for the easy route to the title obviously, and i wouldnt be the least bit surprised to see him get his head bounced by the much bigger and stronger rahman. toney has done essentially nothing at heavyweight as far as im concerned, you can argue with me all day if you want but i will not change my mind, as sorry as rahman is, he will be by far the best fighter toney has met at heavyweight.
i said when rahman was given the WBC that he is not even one of the 8 best heavies in the world, and that is still true, toney will not earn any more respect from me than he already has unless he fights a legitimate top 5 heavyweight.Comment

The guy is a great fighter in the twilight of his career, and he's making noise at Heavy. I always wonder if there were ignorant boxing 'fans' in the early 50s who hated on Archie Moore and called him a 'fat non Heavyweight'.
