I live 45 minutes drive from Guerrero so he must have been thinking everywhere is like California. Looks like the DA in NY told him, "Dorothy, this aint Kansas anymore!" But I think after the "God wants me to humble Floyd" stuff and now this, Robert need to go to the Wizard of OZ and ask for a brain cause Robert is on a 2-day ****** fest right now.

Yeah, I ddidn't know the particular numbers, but I know NYC has been one of the safest cities, I think since the late 90 or something. I think it started with Guliani, I am not too sure.

When John Forte got caught with 10 kilos at the airport what body prosecuted him? When what his name got caught at the airport with weed glued to his water bottles label, who threw the case out? If it happens within an airport in this country (from tarmac to the edge of the curb) it's a federal case. The state can announce all the charges it wants, the final say is with the ATF and federal prosecutors.

As a New Yorker I know full well we have gun shows in the state so it is feasible he bought the gun just about anywhere, and he wouldn't be the first. Either way as I stated earlier i'll wait for the other shoe to drop in this case because while the politicians are posturing and ranting the fact of the matter remains they didn't arrest him in midtown they got him at an airport which is a case that's federal not state.
It doesnt matter, the fact that Robert doesnt have a license in NY makes the gun illegal, it was not registered in NYC. An

And he has been charged by the state under the "New York Secure Ammunitions and Firearms Enforcement Act of 2013"

A gun license from one state does not have to be accepted in another state. If you are a legal gun owner and want to travel to another state with your weapon, you better know the laws of the state you are traveling to. New York state DOES NOT acknowledge gun licenses held by persons issued in another state, plain and simple. NYC does not even issue gun licenses to its own residents (except to people working in law enforcement, certain business owners, etc). The gun laws in NYC are the most restrictive in the country and have been this way for quite some time.

what you guys fail to realize is, no state laws are involved here its a federal case.

federal laws are the same anywhere in the US

exactly, ny has been praised for its safety for the last few yrs. in fact, ny and chicage had about the same number of yearly homicides last year despite the fact that ny's populations is much much greater than chicagos

There's your answer, he didn't get caught btw he turned his weapon in as i'm sure he's probably done in many other states. I doubt you move around the country with a gun through airports and nobody finds it.
you are wrong because i got arrested in the bronx yet my case was in manhattan

Federal is even worse. There is no probation for a federal case. That aside the article tells you who's jurisdiction it is. Good grief...reading comprehensions skills.
