This fight will never happen. I don't see Sergio dropping to 154 nor do I see Cotto going up to 160.

And let's be real here, Cotto would get murked anyways. Don't do it, Miguel!

Cotto is a loser who refused to give Trout props after he beat him clearly

"ask the fans, they know who won"

the only reason he wants to fight Martinez now is for another $1 million + purse. He knows he has no chance, thats why he stated "but we would have to check the whole business [of the offer] first"

this guys a gatekeeper at best, he needs to retire.

Cotto doesn't want it at 154, he wants it at a CW for the 4th divisional belt. He's already expressed interest in similar when NDam briefly held the belt. Not that that was a good idea, this is just dumb. If he must, go for Geale. But he doesn't exactly sound intent on it.

Even freaking David Diaz was a top 5 beltholder, which is more than Barker, Macklin, Murray can say. When these guys retire, I wonder if they'll have a single belt between them.
I see you're going off ring rankings, in that case Macklin was the #3 middleweight contender and Murray is currently #7, Barker was an undefeated contender. Macklin should have held a belt but he was robbed in Germany against Sturm. By the way, if these guys were American or Mexican (maybe even German) they would probably get titles gift wrapped to them too... lol.

Meanwhile since you are going by Ring rankings, Bradley was not considered a P4P fighter when Pac fought him.
These were the rankings at the end of 2011 (Bradley didn't fight between then and the Pac fight):
          1. Manny Pacquiao
          2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
          3. Sergio Gabriel Martinez
          4. Nonito Donaire
          5. Juan Manuel Marquez
          6. Wladimir Klitschko
          7. Pongsaklek Wonjongkam
          8. Timothy Bradley
          9. Giovanni Segura
          10. Andre Ward

Only Marquez was considered a P4P fighter and Pac made the near 40 year old guy move up 2 weight divisions to fight him (from 135 to 147).

Pacquiao's "WORLD CLASS" competition at 140-50:

DLH: Was coming off a loss and drained down from 154 w/ a fight night weight limit; weighed less than Pac on fight night
Hatton: Had just been brutally KO'd in his last fight
Cotto: Had been KO'd by Margarito the year prior and was drained by a catchweight (Pac's team knew Cotto had trouble making weight at that point)
Clottey: Was coming off a loss to Miguel Cotto
Margarito: Had been brutally KO'd by Mosley and suspended for a year
Mosley: Was arguably coming off two losses
Marquez: Almost 40 years old moving up from 135; Pac was expected to KO him

Most of these guys were coming off devastating losses...

See bolded. Take your time man, don't just grab anything that looks like it might support your case at first sight. Read the damn text before pasting it in here.

OK so Macklin was briefly ranked top 5 after a close hometown decision to feeble Sturm (faaar closer than Pac Bradley), and as I said, he's never held a world title. On accomplishment he's behind Diaz, arguable? Before you bring in the Sturm "robbery", Diaz stopped JASC, who humiliated lineal champ Casamayor in an ATG robbery.

Murray, Barker can't hold a candle to Diaz. Have them beat a top 20 opponent first, and its a start.

Team Pac chose the tougher challenge. JMM is a more difficult opponent for Pac than Bradley and he proved it.
They chose JMM because Cotto would not agree to another catch weight before the 3rd and 4th rematch(es) with JMM. Also, JMM was the bigger money fight. Margarito was suspended for a year, came back and had a competitive fight with a no one. Williams was a much tougher fight than Margarito. So was Kelly Pavlik.

The idea of having Bradley in top 10 P4P was so ridiculous that I just copied and pasted the data. Well what do you know? lol.

Why are you bringing up David Diaz? Pac fought him at lightweight. We're talking about Pac's 140-150 "achievements" here . I wouldn't touch Pac 135-down achievements; I do give him a lot of credit for that.

Hey I must admit, I didn't even read your whole post. Can't blame me, when you're posting evidence destroying your case.

But I took another glance, ran into these gems. Didn't even go further. Should I? Is there more gold like this below?

                  1. Proof? Please don't respond to me before you've found some
                  2. Do I really need to point out this is way false? He just came off giving Paulie the beating of a lifetime. Paulie then went on to outbox Juan Diaz twice, and win a welter belt

So who's #8 on that list?
