We are talking legacy right? If he drains Sergio down to say 150-152 would that do anything for his legacy at all? I don't think it would and I think Sergio would be a zombie at that sort of weight. I have doubts he could safely get back down to 154 and I genuinely believe 154 was not his best weight.
He was very good at 154 but I feel he is better as a middleweight.
I don't think Sergio has ever been over 167 for the night of a fight.
Sergio says it would take him 6 months to a year to lose the weight safely, so if Floyd takes him at his word then it still maybe is better than fighting a relatively unheralded fighter at 147 or 154. After Canelo who gives Floyd the kind of money Sergio can help him bring in?
Sergio may not be the biggest star, but it would be a very marketable fight.

nothing has changed with floyd.
still cherry picking.
But that's why I campaign so hard against ginger. Cause Pacman & Floyd both has cherrypicked their way to greatness. I will speak out against ginger doing the same.

If we're talking about Canelo vs Cotto as a HBO main event PPV, yeah of course he'd come back, that'll be a lot of money for both fighters. The PPV would do pretty good numbers, maybe 500k+.
Ask yourself when was the last time Cotto fought on an undercard BTW?
As a Cotto fan I think he should hang up his gloves, hes too small for jmw. Canelo would really hurt Cotto in my opinion, he should avoid the fight, I don't see him winning.
