Duran was a remarkably proficient offensive counter puncher with amazing defense. His all around ability was amazing, plus he had scary det, ination, stamina, will and power. His offence was his main point though. Floyd is a remarkably effective defensive counter puncher whose offence is also excellent. So they both equal out in a way.
Floyd better defense, but focuses on his defense more. Duran better offence but focuses on offence more and has greater power. They were/are both pure counter punchers though.
It's hard to say though. Duran applied his skills to much greater fighters, but also had huge discipline issues. Floyd hasn't fought nearly as good opposition but has shown to be much more consistent in training than Duran.Originally posted by IronDanHamza View PostHard question to answer.
In terms of solely skill, they are up there with the very best.
I'd lean on Duran because he applied it aganinst much better fighters.
Always enjoy watching you guys post.

Mayweather is more skilled but Duran was no slouch either
You can't just say Duran and point to his fight with Leonard without looking at his rematch and the Hearns and Hagler fight
Leonard ****ed up the first fight by fighting Durans fight
Duran had ****ing balls of steel and deserves credit for that but he was not as skilled as Mayweather
