With Sergio there is more than money. It is the fourth title. Now with the result of the last PPV and depends on what team Sergio bring to the table, I see this fight happening in late 2013. There is more to facing Trout than his title. Southpaw, taller and rangier are things that Martinez have. If Sturm had won against Gaele, that was the fight that Cotto was looking for his fourth division title. He is taking in consideration legacy now and not only money.

I was thinking either way, he'd quit.

Canelo was said to have beat up Archie Solis who is like 110 pounds soaking wet in basically what was called a street fight.

I forgot if charges were filed or what really went down, but if true, he is a douche.

He tried to do something great by fighting Mayweather.

Maybe he will try again, maybe not.

He was answering questions. He wasnt giving many interviews in PR but he is giving them now to young reporters that have sport website. He is more accessible to them than to the regular media in PR. I think after he saw Trout he knew that he was facing a tougher fight than he anticipated.

There's no way he fights Martinez before Canelo, unless he has some kind of falling out with GBP.

Cotto has alot of legit potential fights on the table, he is merely acknowledging martinez is on that table aswell. To make anything more of this, as if to bash cotto if he choses somebody else besides Martinez, is asinine, yet on par for some boxingscene posters.

Canelo, pacquiao, mayweather, martinez. All legit fights. Now watch somebody come after the fact and claim cotto was ducking such and such fighter because he chose to fight one of the other fighters.

Cotto would much rather fight Alvarez. I wanna see Martinez knock him out

The puertorican pugilist Miguel Cotto, who will fight on December 1 in MSG New York SW/LMW Austin Trout, responded to recent comments made by Segio Martinez.

Several days ago Martinez said that he will like to face the puertorican because he dont like him and consider him a strange (or odd) person.

                      Cotto response to Sergio's comments:

“There is a place and time for everything. Sergio been trying for years to make a fight with Miguel Cotto (he talks in third person ******ly), he is searching desperately trying to obtain what all of us want, money. He needs to sit dow, he just fought, sit down and wait for my turn on December 1 to fight. If he really wants the fight for 2013, we will sit down with them after the fight, we will talk to see what Sergio Martínez have to offer and what benefits does fighting him bring to my career. If it really benefit my career we will choose him as an opponent.”

He also talk about Sampson Lewkovicz expression about Sergio willing to leave his purse to Cotto to make the fight happen. Miguel said:

“If we said no to his offer it was because even with his purse, he did not meet our financial expectations” concluded Miguel Cotto.
                      Thanks for sharing Hermano...
