Bradley upset Pacquiao on June 9th via split-decision but the fight was extremely controversial, with the public overwhelmingly giving the edge to Manny after twelve rounds.
Speaking with HBO analyst Larry Merchant about Pacquiao's future, he admits that it is the Bradley fight that he would last like to see at this point.

So Larry is just saying that Pac needs to find someone that he can look good against and that is tailor made for him. I guess people have really lowered their standards for Pac. This pretty much validates the point that Pac was overly hyped and made out to be better than he really was.

I can't imagine what people are going to say if he takes a "vacation". Because Floyd did it, vacations are bad. I can't imagine all the hate Pac is going to get if he sits out because he doesn't want to lose again or look bad. Pac's losing the little bit of the negotiating leverage that he has as it is... If he loses or looks bad in his next fight, that 40 million could turn into 20 million pretty quickly.

I bet he's wishing he would have just forced Bob into allowing him to fight Floyd instead of Clottey years ago...

Andre Berto? I hate the idea that someone who failed a drugs test would get a payday but it's a fight that would generate interest.

Even if he did pull off the unthinkable, it's too late for November date.

JMM keeps beating manny and getting robbed, bradly fight was as one sided as jMM 3 only in reverseand cotto whod want to see that again? make Mathysse vs Manny now thats a REAL fight no boxing just 2 killer brawlers
Matthysse doesn't really have the name to make it worthwhile.

Its funny everytime Mayweather fights he has guys who just fight him super aggressive he is lucky cause he doesn't have to worry about fighting slick boxers because even guys like Marquez play into his game and become the aggressor.

With Pacquiao ever since he destroyed anyone who came at him aggressive they now want to get on their track shoes like James Toney always says these guys just want to run laps and not fight.

I think put Pac in against Maidana or Matthysse. At least if one of those guys wins the fans will be satisfied because two warriors are in the ring with Pac, the casual fan respects a guy who wins by knock out or pressure its the truth.
You mean like Manny running from Margo , and if you got a brain Cotto would also fight aggressively at 154 ,,,, and then you have JMM , he dont run from Pac , and Pac cant do a thing , then you have Bradley is not that slick of a fighter yet he boxed him without much trouble ,,,,,

Then you got cant pull the trigger Mosley , he didnt run anywhere just gave angles and Pac could not catch him ,,,,,,

So what is it you actually want , a Hatton on a coke habit with a new trainer or another drained flat footed opponent that cant get out the way and everything hurts .

Seems to be that if a opponent is first of all healthy, then has some boxing ability , Manny struggles !

I know the perfect look good Manny opponent , has a lions heart and will let his hands go ,,,,, Katsidis at 147 CW is what Manny needs to look like super Manny , or another drained fighter , other than that Manny will never look like superman again .

Even if these opponents of Paq didn't come to win, at least they have balls to even fight Manny. The other guy just won't fight him. The longer it takes the more embarrassing he looks.

That's because Mayweahter doesn't give a crap about the paying audience. Ironically, Marques used to be just as boring, but now he presses the action when his opponent doesn't.

I always liked larry but I have to disagree with him, you would have to be nuts to do anything but try and box pac, who in there right mind goes toe to toe with this guy ask Hatton and Cotto how that worked for him or maybee Margiritto who has a messed up eye for life for trying that dumb ****.

Manny slacked off...He wont be so generous this time around. trust me...manny will end Bradley in this fight! If they fight!
I know people want to see action, I may be in the minority in sometimes just liking to see one fighter have to try to figure out how to beat another one even if there aren't fireworks.

Bottom line is Bradley had a good showing against Manny for 3 rounds until he was injured, and then after he was injured he did what many other fighters failed to do even without a significant injury: survive against Manny without even being seriously hurt.

I think you can certainly make the case for Marquez, but I don't know why Cotto would be more interesting. On second thought I guess maybe I do. Many people would rather see an action packed beat down than pacman struggling to figure out Bradley as he dances and moves. Personally I like to watch the biggest challenge, even if there aren't necessarily alot of fire works.

This is sort of a myth. Pacquaio doesn't really fight toe to toe, he's an in and out fighter. I guarantee you Oscar De La Hoya would have loved it if Pacquaio had fought him toe to toe.

So Pac should stick to fighting face first no defence boxers right? Boxers who would make him look like the hyped up P4P fighter in the world? Cool story Larry..
