People who who feel quitting in a fight is the right thing to do...shouldnt be watching fights. Fighters dont quit. Thats why as rules in Boxing are stated before each fight.... You can ONLY be saved by the Bell or not...and/or Only a Doctor or Ref can stop a fight, depending on where they are fighting and whos rules they are following.
Pnssies quit. Peroid! I guess Boxing has its fair share of pus$ies followers, I guess! Back at ya!
What are you thoughts on Gerald McClennan?

I really wish he would have quit during his fight, but I guess I'm not a real fan and shouldn't be watching the sport as it is better to see a guy permantly damage behind some false idiology that fighters should fight to the death.

If you cats are that tough get off the internet and into the ring.

Yo Dunn....I think this is the first time me and you agree on something.

I would also like to add is that the same guys will bash fighters that quit, yet the ones that don't and recieve permanate damage.....they won't even donate a dime to.

Guys like McClennan, Benetiz etc had pretty decent size fan bases, and what has any of their fans ever done for them. Those guys are sitting around all messed up, broke , and no one gives a d@mn about them. They can't even afford the proper care, and when they finally die because of their injuries, there will be reports that there families don't even have money to pay for their funerals.

Fvvvvvk all of that. Boxers should look out for themselves as no one else will give a d@mn about them. That's why I don't blame any fighter for putting health before please some bone head fans.

Often your disagreement with me stems from the fact I like floyd so any point I make referencing him or manny is called nuthugging etc. The same logic and passion for boxing I apply in those posts is applied here..

As for this post, People condemn Vic because they really don't follow boxing or haven't followed it for so long. This is a fighters job. When you are injured on the job, you go home, get healthy, and then return to work. Of course clowns here wanted Vic to die in the ring. Yeah, thats what boxing needs.

Further, Vic has no insurance to pay for what happened to him. Hoepfully, GBP picks up the tab.

1 can never measure a boxers threshold on pain but the 1st 2 elements in a boxer, IMO, is heart and courage...seems Vic has neither...

Ok thanks. DOes it cover long term damage or just initial injury. For example, Vic's inital fractures are repaired. Does insurance cover any long term jaw realignment persay?

You are comparing a broken jaw to severe brain trauma. WTF.

I'll ask the same question I asked in a different thread, since everyone is telling me Ortiz's career and life is in danger because of his broken jaw. If I see a post naming one fighter that had their career ended because of a broken jaw, I will stop calling Ortiz a quitter about this fight. Just one name, and I will stop.

I know plenty of names of fighters that had a broken jaw and had their careers continue just fine afterwards, I want a name of someone who had to retire.

The internal bleeding and the blood coagulating is what could've killed him. Also, broke is a subjective term. It could be a fracture or a compound fracture that slices a vein or artery.
