I think point he was making is that Berto had next to nothing in his system to make an difference in the Ortiz fight and Peterson passed his VADA tests in April, meaning the substance was already out of his system and probably would not have made difference. Remember Peterson-Khan was canceled because the NSAC wouldn't license Peterson without a hearing and not because the promoter or Khan pulled the plug and the Calif commission never even got a chance to rule on Berto. He was replaced by Lopez in like three days.

is "next to nothing"....really "nothing"? next to nothing still implies he had some in his system right????

If a fighter takes 1 hit of marijuana before a fight...will he have NO marijuana in his system or next to nothing?

make no mistake, if manny and floyd get to two weeks before the fight and one of them fails a test this can cost people a ton of money

I think Arum is the only promoter being fair and speaking some sense. There's not enough to enhance Berto and Peterson's performance. I agree the fight should go on and punish fighters afterwards. I don't condone taking banned substance at all but in these two incidents it doesn't make sense to stop the fight altogether. If the substances detected are significant then you obviously stop the fight.

The testing is there to make sure dudes aren't cheating and permanently injuring their opponent! What an a$$hole. It's all about him and his pocket, no concern for the health of fighters whatsoever. What the hell is the point of letting guys fight even if they fail a test?! You're not exactly convincing them to stay clean if they can fight even if they get caught. Idiot. What a fking idiot.
