Nice troll thread larry I know you actually don't believe that nonsense, everyone credible knows the 40s-50s era was greater in all aspects but training and overall fitness knowledge than today, because boxing is the only sport that has been steadily regressing instead of progressing, like most other sports, so unless you know about the history of boxing, you wouldn't comprehend this.
But first and foremost, larry is a Floyd fan, and as Floyd fans, we must take care of one another! Good job larry!

All that matters that we agree in is that Manny would lose the superfight. Everything else is forgiven.

Roy Jones would have toyed with Ray Robinson and Lamotta on the same damn day

Larry should be banned from making threads for at least a year or so. I would highly suggest for BSC to create a ****** Forum for the likes of Larry, Mannie Phresh and many more.

        just an idea, Larry.

The only guys you can make a case for in terms of modern dominating old timers is Lennox Lewis and the k2.

That is because they are anamories rather than the norm.
They are 6'5-6'7 super heavys that can fight at 245+ of muscles yet also have speed, agility, power, and overall great boxing skills. This gives them a significant edge over any old timer who's like 6'0 and 205.

Outside of them, progression really has died down.

Not sure about the same day but I'd say he'd have beaten both of them.

Robinson has a legit punchers chance of course but Roy Jones has too much natural size, speed, footspeed and skills for him at 160 where Robinson was relatively small and Roy Jones was a monster of a man.

I don't even wanna reply right now to this outrageously bad post.
This post make me sick to my stomach.
The fighter with arguably the worst chin out of ANY elite from 140-HW throughout the history of boxing is gonna beat up Robinson?

Damn right i love this era and i have been witnessed to some damn great fighters in this era and just cause a fighter fought in black and damn white does not mean they can beat the greats of this era.people watch a few damn old fights that their grand dad told them to watch and act like it is the damn gospel...hell yea there where great fighters back then but damn it there are great fighters from present day as well....it's like a fighter can't get props until he is old or dead............Hell when Sugar Ray Leonard was fighting he was considered a duck and a pre madana just like sugar ray robinson was.now years later they are warriors.they are fighters i have seen that would wipe the floor with some of these old school cats
