They will tell you Judah is more skilled than Chavez Sr because he is flashier, got a cuter style. Which is nonsense.
Judging by what some perceived as skills most will say that Margarito was a bum...You agree?
But the old timers get carried away with a lot of the old fighters and raise them up to an unreasonable level. Then when you question the irrational standard that has been set by them, they suffer from butthurt.
That's when lulz can be had at their expense because at that point, they've created their own little religion.
Only instead of Jesus, they worship at the altar of Harry Greb and heretics are drawn and quartered.

It's embarrassing to read threads like this. It really is. If you're a boxing fan, you should know better. Go back and go do your research and then make posts. So sick of these d*ck-riding, Johnny Come Lately stans who need public polls on NSB to help shape their view of boxing because they started watching the sport right around the time "The World Awaits" was announced. And then have the gall to get mad when they get schooled. ****ing disgusting.

I get it when they did it. What i don't get is the NSB 4-5 min video clip mentality that you can show a fighter is an ATG just through that and some press clippings.

Was his style cute in the ring, was he flashy, was defensive orientated? No. But, offensively did he have subtle skills? Yes he did. Had a nice uppercut too and solid body puncher. Margarito was good at fighting on the inside. By no means a bum skill wise.
But, again is what people presume to be skills. I have read that Oscar is more skilled than Chavez. Or, that he had better defense than Chavez Sr. Which is not true. Chavez sr defense on the inside, he could roll with punches, he could slip and duck punche, he would parry punches and also fight off the backfoot if needed to. While Oscar defense was just his feet and that's it.
