Comments Thread For: Photos: Mikkel Kessler's Chilling Knockout of Allan Green

Parken, Copenhagen, Denmark - Former super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (45-2, 34KOs), in his light heavyweight debut, knocked out Allan Green (31-4, 21KOs) in the fourth round to capture the vacant WBC silver light heavyweight crown. Green dropped Kessler in the first round, but the "Viking Warrior" came right back in the second and closed the show with a single left hand in the fourth - which put Green down on his back and out cold. Awesome pics! Too bad they don't have one of the actual punch that crumbled Green.

It's time for Allan to hang up the gloves. He has performed quite poor in several of his last fights. He cannot compete at the elite level anymore. This is sad because he is still young and I once held him in high regard but the fire and passion is gone. It was fun while it lasted Allan.
