Vitali would hug him all night the way Muhammad Ali the charlatan did. Foreman was a real fighter and the ATG heavyweight.

Foreman would brutalize Vitali, man what a beating that would be.

If a past prime and fat Lennox mutilated his face, imagine what a prime Foreman would do to him?

George telegraphed his shots too much to have been effective against vitali. I understand he fought in alis time and all and like the others from that era were over rated but he just didnt have the skills to beat vitali, who has never been out boxed or knocked down.
Vitali was buckled by Sanders as well...

Lewis had been training to fight a scrub, he was old and at his worse and still won a punching war with Vitali getting the worse as the fight progressed.

Vitali never faced the calibre of fighter that George did. He fought Lewis and was hit, he did well against Peter who history has shown was not that good, besides that and Sanders who buckled him early, what tells us about Vitali's chin?

Vitali did not move well enough to stop George.... given that George, when he lost, usually lost when it was a war, or he could be outboxed...even then Ali did it by having George come at him.

Vitali uses workrate , jabs and angles to fend off opponents. Wladimir holds.

Lol at your underestimating Vitali post. Ali beat and knocked out prime Foreman with the rope a dope, not movement. Vitali has very good footwork and ring IQ, not to mention punching power and timing. Much more power than Ali. His chin is solid too, theres a reason he's never been knocked down.

In my opinion, the LL that fought Vitali was a better fighter than any version of Foreman. He was way more technical and was a lot bigger. Prime Foreman was about 220 lbs. Lewis was 3" taller and 30+ lbs heavier.

You do know Foreman was 5-4 in title fights and lost to a 20-5 Jimmy Young in his prime, who was barely over 200 lbs and was a career loser?

Even this old ass version of George would probably give either Klitschko hell. A prime Foreman would be a bloodbath.

                    Wlad for sure, but Vitali?

                    I dunno. Great fight.

that was a great knockout. vitali would probably be able to avoid those shots tho. he had very good reflexes and was (and is still to an extent) able to see when a puncher is set and ready to throw a big shot. I don't think that version of foreman would have been quick enough to really catch vitali clean. the young foreman may have been a different story tho. he was a wrecking ball
