He's going to make a lot more than 8 million dollars. 8 million dollars was if the ppv didn't make a single buy.

35%? that's very generous. i was thinking 20% at most.

            Cotto got 8 million.

How much will Floyd get total?

I'm sure he will get more than triple of 8 million.

            That seems wrong to me.

I know it should not be 50-50
or maybe it should be close since
            Cotto had the belt.

I just finished some paperwork so I'm
not going to over elaborate this...
But something is not right here

Well at least Floyd is honest about his greed....

Stop trolling Earl you dork!!!! You know as well as everyone else $8m is the guaranteed purse bid, and includes zero PPV upside, to which Cotto is entitled a percentage. Cotto will likely make closer to $15 million, and depending on the final PPV numbers it may even be higher.

Do you think the financial arrangement should have been similar to the fair arrangement in the Pac/Cotto fight, where Pac made Cotto fight at a catchweight for Cotto's belt, Pac received $8 million, Cotto received $6 million and Bob Arum kept $32 million for himself?

It doesn't surprise me that someone on this message board is complaining about how much Mayweather paid Cotto. You complain about everything else that Mayweather does. Why not complain about the money he is paying Cotto? Cotto will make more in this fight than he has made in his last three fights under Bob Arum. To answer your question -- NO, Cotto is not getting the shaft like he did when he was fighting for Bob Arum!

Mayweather is the richest cuz he demands the most ...

I know Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Lewis, Tyson, De La Hoya...
were never as greedy as Mayweather

yea and thats why Cotto is living middle class while Mayweather is balling out of control ... stacking his guac

Cotto doesnt care as much about money as Floyd so he tool the relatively smaller purse...
