He said he has admitted every defeat. You don't have to come out and give your opposition praise. By Cotto admitting his loss he is giving Floyd credit, even without saying it. They both respect each other, saw it in the ring and outside the ring leading up to this fight. Don't think we need Miguel to come out to know he knows he lost to the better man.

In the heat of battle you can't think clearly and in his spot I can't blame him. He was chasing Floyd a lot, landing some clean shots, crowd was going nuts, and bloodied Floyds nose. Plus he executed his game plan almost to perfection. He had every right to think he won more than 2 rounds.

          Lol

How can anyone in their right mind say that this was a close fight ? 115-113???

Cotto gets props for being a fighter and coming out to fight, but he was out boxed and out pointed all night...

His twitter he ranted like a sore loser, and he refused to do any post fight interviews or talk to the press after the fight.l.but props for him understanding he lost the fight and pull of an Amir Khan

he shouldve paid his respects to his fans.. (if not to mayweather) and atleast showed up to the post fight interview. i find it pathetic that someone like Cotto who's shown true character n poise throughout his career would stoop this low and leave the arena.

I don't like it either because the fans come first and foremost and you have to own up to your failures but I can see why he was upset. The style he fought and the way the fight went down and his focus/mind set made it tough for him to believe he lost. Floyd beat the very best Miguel Cotto could be on that night and sometimes when you lose to a better man, it is hard to own up to that right away.

Imagine if it was Mayweather who stormed out of the ring post fight. I love Miguel but he was a spoil sport after the fight he should have stayed and spoken like a man. He clearly rewatched the fight and realised that he was outclassed.

He put up a spirited performance but won 2 or 3 rounds max. The fact that he even gave Floyd a challenge was bound to end up being hyped I mean some guys were claiming that Ortiz was working Floyd over lol

At least Miguel has spoken now, but it was still wrong to act like he did post fight, especially considering it was far from a robbery.

Honestly, when has Miguel Cotto shown any real form of good character?

I'm not hating on the guy one bit, he came to fight and it showed. It was so much more competitive than I gave him credit for coming in to the fight.

But, Miguel seems extremely selfish, even with his team. He always pokes fun and jabs his teammates with little subtle insults. He publicly criticizes his trainer on how he trains. "Pedro is loud, and I don't like that at all." Like... what? What's him being loud have anything to do with ANYTHING?

He just seems like he is VERY self-centered. Mayweather on the other hand shows his close friends/family UPMOST respect and love. You never ever feel a sense of awkwardness within his entourage. Watching Cotto on the last couple 24/7's he's been a part of, I've felt several times like there was a tension in the air after remarks he's made.

Like calling his boy FATSO when playing Wii Golf. Idk my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.
