Could be telling the truth, but i think thats just his excuse because a lot of the rounds were close. Mayweather wants to make it look like he could of done a lot better. Even though Floyd lands almost every punch he throws he is not a high volume pressure fighter (margarito, pacman) which is Cotto's kryptonite. Plus Mayweather is not taking any risk, bottom line is Cotto will always make it a tough fight for Floyd.

At the end of the day it was a clear victory for Mayweather. Cotto was in great shape and propably better than ever but it wasnt enough. Im pleased with cottos pefomance thouh. No need fo Mayweathe to come up with excuses!
