He thinks fighting Cotto now is just as good and is as good a matchup as Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Trust me, you're NEVER getting through to him. His love is too strong...lol
You'd rather Floyd fight a guy who just got outboxed by a lightweight?

It was never on the table, especially after Cotto BARELY beat Mosley. Like Arum was going to let Cotto lose to Floyd next, when Cotto was on the cusp of being his next cash cow.
it wasn't on the table because Floyd wouldn't man up
he was dismissing any notion of a Cotto fight at every turn
can't negotiate with a guy who won't even accept a challenge
Arum and Cotto were willing to do it, Floyd wasn't

Arum wouldn't even put them together in an in-house fight let alone when Floyd had cut himself loose.

Arum was never willing to do it. He didn't want to put Cotto in with Mayweather when they were both on Top Rank then all of a sudden he leaves Top Rank and now he wants to make the fight? That sounds azz backwards IMO.

What, cos Floyd wanted to get him while he was still coming up as opposed to when he peaked in 08....lol. Another publicity stunt like the Twitter call outs of Pac maybe...so he could say "oh look i tried in 05"

Like i said, the fight was the hottest in boxing in 08, not 05. And your bf retired. Cant argue with reality

Cotto wasn't ready to fight Floyd when they were at 140 in TR together
they admitted Cotto was too green at that time
that's not what this thread is about
at 147, Cotto was primed and ready
he beat Shane right before Floyd beat Hatton
everyone wanted them to match up except Floyd himself

What does that even mean? Of course he didn't cos Cotto was still coming up. He was at the height of his powers/popularity in 08. You dont make any sense

And you'd rather see Floyd fight a guy who got brutally ****d and destroyed by the guy that lost to a lightweight

At least Cotto got beat at a weight that was designed to put him at a disadvantage. Pac lost at the weight he was comfortable at
