Cotto was available to fight just that he didnt call him out. If you are the 2 best the fight should be made without any calling out. It should be assumed these 2 should fight and be ready to rumble at any point, unless one is not available like floyd.

Here since you obviously "missed" it.
"Cotto: I never pushed for it at any time before. I would just see what is the best fight that I can get fight by fight. This one is the best one for me now. This is the best chapter in my career so far."
Floyd attempted to make fight with Cotto back in 2005,2006,Cotto has`nt so who avoided who?Cotto obviously avoided Floyd. You could clearly see in his face impressio that he wanted no parts of Floyd when Gatti was being destroyed by Floyd.

But, after Mosley he became elite, he was a guy that you always look at but the after the Mosley fight he was considered somewhat the truth where you couldn't deny that he wasn't elite. I don't think he was an elite fighter before that. I thought he was somewhat of a prospect damn near his whole reign at 140.
The best time to make Floyd-Cotto fight was in 2008. That is when it was at highest in anticipation. I don't blame Floyd for that fight not happening. Cotto wasn't pushing it. And, Arum was trying to make Cotto-Clottey at this time and ended up putting Cotto against Gomez. People can blame Arum too. But, fact is Cotto wasn't pushing this fight. Right or wrong he wasn't pushing.
It's not a duck what happened.
Floyd retired for his own reasons...but to think he retired to run from Cotto is insane.
BUT....when the fight should have been made, Cotto was there to make it and Floyd wasn't. That's not a duck, not by a long shot. But I blame him for the fight not happening at that time....I thin Arum truly wanted that fight with Cotto coming off the Mosley win. There are several articles on this site with them discussing it. I think Cotto wanted it too, he just always says the PC thing to the press.

Or just dissapear and live in the mountains for 2 years and turn the phone off so no one can contact you.
If he didnt duck Cotto, he obviously ducked someone else he was scared of, didnt have to be cotto. There are many fighters that Floyd could fight in 2 years who could beat you, if you give them the chance.

He's a professional fighter, the best one in the sport. He's not "scared". Sure the timing ****** for us fans cause there was a great fight on the table, but that's not a duck.

If Cotto can fight fighters like ricardo torres and others then he could have pursued a fight with Floyd.
Oh man... I wonder what made you think that?
Go ahead, enlighten me... is it because I called you a Floyd nuthugger... I'm a pac nut rider?
