Not pushing for a fight and avoiding a fight are two different things. I've never heard Cotto call anybody out. By that logic he ducks everyone.

True we learn nothing from this thread, all we know is Floyd retired, so that no one would bother him, no one would call his phone, or request him to fight anyone.

Cotto was available to fight just that he didnt call him out. If you are the 2 best the fight should be made without any calling out. It should be assumed these 2 should fight and be ready to rumble at any point, unless one is not available like floyd.

Floyd attempted to make fight with Cotto back in 2005,2006,Cotto has`nt so who avoided who?Cotto obviously avoided Floyd.You could clearly see in his face impressio that he wanted no parts of Floyd when Gatti was being destroyed by Floyd.

I don't know when or if ever Cotto was a threat to Floyd.

But, after Mosley he became elite, he was a guy that you always look at but the after the Mosley fight he was considered somewhat the truth where you couldn't deny that he wasn't elite. I don't think he was an elite fighter before that. I thought he was somewhat of a prospect damn near his whole reign at 140.

The best time to make Floyd-Cotto fight was in 2008. That is when it was at highest in anticipation. I don't blame Floyd for that fight not happening. Cotto wasn't pushing it. And, Arum was trying to make Cotto-Clottey at this time and ended up putting Cotto against Gomez. People can blame Arum too. But, fact is Cotto wasn't pushing this fight. Sure there are. He had just made probably 40 million dollars in 2007. He was probably like fcuk this I'm gonna chill for a while. And who can blame him? Have you seen his training camps? They're insane, I've never seen someone put in work like Floyd.

He's a professional fighter, the best one in the sport. He's not "scared". Sure the timing ****** for us fans cause there was a great fight on the table, but that's not a duck.
