(POLL): Was Richard Steele wrong for stopping Chavez-Taylor?

    Given the negligible amount of time remaining, the scorecards, and the fact that Chavez had an unblemished record (making the fight even more significant), I think you can make the case that it is the worst/most unfortunate stoppage in history.

      i dont see how it can be argued it was a good stoppage. it was a horrible stoppage.

          If a guy looks out of it, you stop the fight no matter how little time is left. The call could have gone either way in my opinion. Steele was in the right to stop the fight.

                  THat is a completely biased decision

                  It doesnt matter if theres 3 seconds or 3 mins, whether Chavez is winning or not, the Ref is suppose to make the same decision no matter whats going on in the fight

                    It was a bad stoppage. Look when Montiel got iced by Donaire the ref gave him the benefit of the doubt but intervened the moment Montiel didn't defend himself.

                    Decision has shady written all over it.

                      Steele kept asking him if he's alright and instead of responding, he looking at his corner with a clueless look

                      If you cant answer when asked if you're ok, you're "out of it"
