Floyd made it appear that it's the only thing that hampers the fight from happening. It then became the date and venue. Now it's about the split and Pac firing Arum. The excuses never end.

It's very clear. Floyd wants none of it.

blah blah blah. if manny had agreed to the same deal he now says he will gladly agree the fight would've happened.

Yeah. He has big gold chains around his neck with a big diamond watch. His skin changes color depending on his surroundings. He also changes to a she at times.

I think he meant Manny fought everybody at welterweight other than a duck named Mayweather, and his question to you was: Who else at welterweight does Manny have to fight outside of quacksville?

          Exactly.

Well, if Floyd fans are more interested in making sure their idol gets the bigger split and not the fight what can I say? Fight is not happening because of it. If you want to blame Pacman that's your choice. If you're content the fight doesn't happen, we'll just leave it at that. Just wondering why you guys are more interested in satisfying Floyd's greed of money than seeing him humiliate the Pacman in the ring considering you're the same folks who kept polluting this site that Floyd would surely win this fight. Especially when you know you're not getting any portion of that split. It just doesn't make sense from a fan perspective.

The things manny brings to the table are offset by the mistakes he makes when applying his weapons. Only seasoned boxers can exploit these mistakes. So he may provide floyd a tough challenge, or he may get waxed.

WHile I respect but disagree with your opinion, since you saw Hagler SRL then you know Bob made Hagler wait 5 years. He's doing the same here with floyd. He's trying to make sure his guy has the advantages. Only this time he doesn't have the bigger earner so he can't leverage purse split for other advantages.

Floyd is smart enough not to give into this bull**** for a few million dollars. Had hagler been as smart, he may have a TKO win over SRL.
You may very well be right and you brought back memorys of Arum making Hagler wait and I remember the feeling of that thought and hating it.

Arum and KING drove me nuts in those days as Arum does today.

Take the Ali Frazier fight. I had seen nearly every fight live(screen or tv) of Cassius Clay but his win over Sonny Liston, and just a few more. The first fight I saw was taped delayed of him and Doug Jones on Gillette Friday nite fights . Many in that day in the news papers said Clay LOST ! I have to be honest here and say when I saw it then as a small boy that it was a toss up, the same as Pac and JMM. Clay went on to win the champeenship and Jones did not.

In the time Ali was making his comeback from the Nam mess I felt from all I could read in the papers he WASN'T taking Frazier serious enough(Frazier was killing everyone in the ring) and for the first time I said Ali would lose and didn't even go to the sportatorium to watch this great FIGHT,,,,,OH HOW DUMB THAT WAS !!!!!!!!! I have regreted that forever !!!

I always felt Hagler won or should have won that Leonard fight and was convinced he would if he came out fighting like he did against Hearns. I saw the Hearns fight from a sportatorium or whatever they call it in Cinn OHIO where 5000 fans were screaming to the top of their lungs !!!!!!! YOU could not hear yourself !! We were all standing, I looked over at a young black lady in near tears cause her man Hearns was getting killed !!! In the Leonard fight that 5 year wait killed it for Hagler as well as not taking the fight to Leonard in the beginning.

Little things can give you the loss.

Back in the day , I never paid attention to the money aspect like it is lifted up today, I could care less who gets what, I want to see warriors get in the ring and see who is the best.

I love the training , the attitude of the fighter and that makes the difference, not the mouth. Ali was silly on purpose to bring in more money but MAN could he fight !!!! To watch him fight and get better every fight was supreme, but man that 3 year layoff during the vietnam era took its toll. He took on all comers.

The 3 year wait so far for Pac and JR is like the lay off, they both are leaving their prime and its bad for boxing and slaying me.

In Pac's defense who else besides Floyd would look good fighting against Marquez. Even when losing the Floyd fight Marquez gave a good account of himself in always trying to win in the fight.

History between these two guys is that is no clear winner everytime they fight. To judge that last performance by Pac as him slowing down is not enough cause of Marquez's style.

The Floyd fight should had happened two years ago

Ok , all I am trying to say is who is out there in the WWs that Pac has refused, I can't think of none .

Berto ? Roach was gonna make Berto a sparring partner and that fell flat.

Pac has not turned down anyone or gone on vacation or retirement,,THIS is NEW to boxing or maybe it is NOT. Leonard retired and proclaimed it from the ring disappointing not only Hagler but ME and millions of other fans. You will have to forgive me I am pulling this up from memory and not from articles. But Leonard did have retina problems which had me sad because that is a legit excuse not to fight.

I am saying if Jr had wanted to fight COTTO back a few years ago he would have and if he had wanted to fight Margo he would have, he didn't want too.

The reason I am so down on Floyd as a FIGHTER is :

WHAT in the #### is that all about ?? I came from the era of fighters fought and if you didn't you were weeded out like rat now ! So it has come that Jr wants to protect that 0. What in the #### is that about ??????

GET in the #### Ring and get it ON !!!!!!!

The more he looks lack luster the more enticing it is to Floyd to take the fight. I wouldnt be surprised if he is lags in a fight and talks about retiring knowing Floyd prefers fighting fighters past their prime for big paydays. With talks of him retiring it would be a shame for Floyd to let all that money walk away. Especially for a declining fighter. Lets hope Floyd takes the bait. If so Manny will show up to destroy Floyd quickly. With a cherry picker like Floyd you have to fall to the level of his normal opponents. You have to be getting old...be a declining fighter...have issues outside the ring...and be on the verge of retiring for them reasons. And also take less money.
