Also that was a leg sweep with a push punch, that was no knockdown cmon lol. Oh well, it is St. Patty's Day and everyone was hyping up the Irishmans performance, thats fine lol. This judging as of late is abhorrent too, I am getting sick of these terrible judges with ridiculous scores. Julie Lederman had it a draw, with 2 knockdowns by Sergio? Unreal.

Martinez is fallible. He's a small middleweight. Match him against a real heavy handed middleweight with boxing skills and he'd struggle. Jermain Taylor in his prime would have likely taken him. Macklin is the Number 2 MW in the world. Most list him as 3 because of his "loss" to Sturm, but we all know better. I'd like to see Chavez fight Sturm, Pirog, Macklin, Barker, etc. He's fought nobody--NOBODY. And, he's still looked like crap. Zbik tattooed him. If he had Martinez's power (which isn't elite), he'd have killed him. Put it this way--HBO wouldn't buy the fight between Zbik and Martinez because Zbik was a no hoper with a boring style and no power. Then you saw Zbik give Chavez more than he could handle. What does that tell you about Zbik?

There is no blueprint on how to beat Chavez.
45 have tried and 45 have failed.

[QUOTE=WESS;11901891]I think it was before this fight was even made. Martinez said he offered Floyd 80% of the share.
Martinez's speed will give Floyd problems. I think this would be a great fight. Martinez also has way more pop than Floyd. You can knock out top 5 Middleweights without more power than Floyd who doesn't even knockout welterweights. Floyd's an awesome tactician though. He'd try to turn the fight into a boring, tactical match, counterpunching and hitting with the lead right. I think the fight will likely be an awesome chess match. I'd probably favor Martinez because of his size and power and the fact that he's pretty close in speed to Mayweather. I'd much rather see this fight than Pacquiao Mayweather. Pacquiao couldn't get in the ring with Martinez. Martinez would KO him.

I was very impressed with Sergio. I think great fighters can adjust when things aren't going their way and still close the show. Martinez showed the true mark of a champion, faced with a little adversity he never took his eyes off the prize and stayed focus and switched to plan B.
