A couple things wrong with your post.....

ORTIZ IS QUICKER THAN COTTO AND COME ON MAN, AND YOU KINDA FIBBING ON THE WHOLE FLOYD WAS GETTING HIT MORE THAN IN HIS LAST 4 FIGHTS COMBINED.... LETS TAKE A LOOK...

HERE ARE THE FACTS:

ORTIZ LANDED NO JABS.... NOT A SINGLE JAB from Ortiz landed on Floyd.

In neither round did he land a jab... LMAO!!!

In x4 rounds Ortiz landed wait for it...........








26 PUNCHES LMAO!!! Averaging 6.5 punches a round.

He threw 148 punches total and landed 26!!!

Okay so lemme put this in perspective for you. Because obviously you are counting punches that were rolled..... LMAO....

Floyd landed in the fourth round.... 24 power punches and 3 jabs...

FLOYD LANDED MORE PUNCHES IN THE 4TH ROUND THAN ORTIZ DID IN THE ENTIRE FIGHT!!!!

Floyd was getting stuffed in the face and he leaned into a couple punches trying to be evasive. I didn't see Floyd smiling too much when he was shaking his head after Ortiz had him against the ropes.

Floyd normally makes it out of fights with little to no direct punches really having landed on him so if he eats 24 solid punches the duration of a 12 round fight, that would be more than the majority of his fights. Most of the punches that hit Floyd are when he is turning and they slide right off of him.

Floyd came away with the win, cong**** to him. Now go ask some random dude what he remembers most about the fight.......is he gonna comment on the punch stats or the fact that Floyd won in shady fashion? Regardless of what Floyd did in the ring, it's going to get overshadowed by how he won the fight.

That's neither here nor there but the underlying thing to me is why did he do it? Of course anyone could say he was pissed about the head butt attempt but Ortiz already received his punishment from the ref. Aggression is not something that Floyd handles the best, standing in the center of the ring and boxing is Floyd's game.


Just remember what I said about Floyd starting aggressive but backing off after the first couple exchanges. I could be wrong but I fully expect Cotto to present more than a tuneup in terms of challenge to Floyd.

Honestly, Manny Pacquiao fans on boxingscene need to stay off of other threads talking about Pac and Floyd. This is about Miguel Cotto and Floyd. I have been having some interesting debates with Cotto fans that aren't some of the dumbest hateful posts in the world like Manny fans posting. OK, we get it! You guys hate Floyd and love Pac but we all know now that the fight ain't happening so get off his nuts and stop being *****s.

I must give FMJr. lots of props for his dedication. He has the access, money and support team to accoplish all these. He knows that he must be 110% for the Cotto fight more so that any other recent one.

As far as him coming to attack, that is not his "speciality" and Ill like to see how he does it longer than "4" rounds. He was presuring Ortiz, and did well. I think that Ortiz was a bit too jumpy/hyper and did not really had a plan of attack/counter only trying to land and KO Floyd.

Miguel on the other hand, should be working on his stamina, speed, defense, and be able to have a fluid-on the go-adapting offensive plan.

I also belive that the needs to establish his "power" early to gain some respect from Floyd, by sitting a bit more on his punches and combos. This may make Floyd reconsider his "pressure" plan.

Its going to be very, very interesting fight. I just hope that my boy Miguel comes ready to ****! I know he can ****, I know he has the offensive tools to get it done. May be by workign some of the above, and bring all that on fight night....we may get an upset!

I noticed many on here still don't see or understand how technically flawless Mayweather is. Floyd went toe to toe many times with fighters and either towels were thrown in the ring or corners were stopping the fight. He became a lil more passive but he still push Mosley and Ortiz around. Floyd is going to beat Cotto up and push him back. Cotto is going to try and box while Floyd is going to bring the fight to him. The thing with Mayweather is that he can turn it off and on whenever he wants. Miguel will have no answer for Floyd. I like Cotto but he is too wide open. I can see this fight being stopped in the 10th in favor of Floyd.

I really don't want to see pages upon hate pages of *******s retreating on their logic of Pac beating Hoya and Hatton better because he KO'ed them faster.

Cotto's shots are too wide that's why Floyd will be fighting inside. Cotto wont be able to take the heat,he will be overwhelmed and confused. Great fight while it lasts

Disagree, Cotto throws very straight punches. Floyd's going to use a high-guard more often than he normally does. The key to stopping Cotto is going to be footwork. If Floyd keeps him off balance and busy on the defensive end, and shows him angles like I expect him to, two things will happen:

1) A beating, similar though not as severe as the Gatti fight (RIP) as Cotto is more skilled and/or will run.

2) Cotto becomes agressive, emboldened by the distance, and gets countered until he moves backward.

I don't see a way Cotto wins.

Something I noticed recently is the guys who worship Manny are the biggest floyd fans on here. There the first to comment on every thread about him, hating every single opportunity they get even when it has nothing to do with Pac. The round you love to point to. I also remember that shiner he had. I also remember him saying that he was starting to get hot as if Floyd really gets tired....

When its all done and said nobody will even remember the fight in the first place. If anything he got that "random dude" to buy his next fight because he was mad that Floyd won in that fashion. Ortiz was younger, bigger and being aggressive. So aggressive it got him KTFO.... and that is all that matters because Ortiz made the decision that he made.

The bottom line remains, Floyd is all business in the ring. He takes advantage of situations that are presented to him.
