I really don't know what to think about Canelo. I know he's young but he seems like one of the most protected guys out there.

even his biggest fans know the WBC strap was basically given to him. he fought a welterweight for it, not even a good welterweight.he fights shot smaller guys.

I think he could be good but the way Golden Boy is moving him, it seems like they don't have faith in him.

I know Canleo is calling out Mayweather and De La Hoya wants to make it but I just don't see it happening. he'll probably end up facing Sugar Shane Mosley next.

Canelo would get his azz beat by Cotto. Who the hell has Canelo even fought thats worth a discussion? Who did Canelo even beat to become a World Champion? This dude is a hype job who was in trouble against Jose Cotto and even Cintron gave him trouble at one point in there fight. Canelo has never beatin a top fighter ever and now he wants the elites? Lol, keep fooling yourselves.

I'm not as much of a critic of Canelo's comp as most.......I actually think he's been brought along very well. But being in there with Cotto would be a biiiig step up.
Yup i agree he is being brought along nicely. Then again when ur a champion that should signify u are ready for anyone who dare challenge...

I think he is ready for Cotto, its a jump up but he is in cruise control at the level he is at right now imo, he took some heat for his Gomez performance but he was just playing with him and could have turned it up whenever he felt like it. Cintron got waxed in second gear. He's ready. Will he win? Not sure, id back Miguel but its a winnable fight for Saul imho

Also wouldn't the vacant Ring Junior Middleweight title be on the line? Since Cotto is ranked #1 and Canelo ranked #2.

Doubt he'll get those fights. If he does though, Cotto by UD in a tough fight, and Floyd by pretty easy UD.

I agree with that assessment of Canelo's past few wins. I definitely think he was toying with Gomez. And I agree that he just walked through Cintron pretty easy without turning it up too much.

It's a tough fight for both. I think Cotto's jab, movement, and most importantly, accuracy would win it for him. Plus he's been taken into deep waters when Canelo hasn't.

Canelo's aresnal is impressive though. He's already one the best combination punchers in the sport, he can throw every punch in the book and he throws them all very technically sound. His uppercut could bother Cotto.

Cotto has the experience but on the other side of that coin Canelo is fresh. Id give Miguel the speed advantage, Saul the power. Both guys have a great range of punches and excellent technique. Canelo is the bigger man but i agree i like Cotto's jab to cause some real problems

I think Cotto wins but its almost a pick em fight, not one id be throwing down much cash on at the bookies....

My mY my how things change in just one years time, Canelo still winning, and he has more credibility to deserve and ask for a mayweather showdon than a mere con or pacroids.both those guys have proven that they either have no chance or at least in the case of pac the luster is pretty much off .Im not saying canelo wILL win against a mayweather but his chances look better than the other 2 if not in the ring at least on credibility and coming off strong performances.Khant and Pac are both coming off of losses why would anyone want to shell out $60 bux for that?? to maybe HOPE pac lands a lucky punch???I dont see canelo being outclassed by 38 yr old liteweights at this point lol not saying hes robinson or leaonard but id rather see that guy throw down with mayweather ,at the very least canelo is a much bigger puncher and has a better "punchers chance" than any of those.

Cotto is not the best at 154....you can't be serious.
