I don't think young Canelo is ready for either fighter at this point, however, a few fights in 2012 and he maybe an impressive fighter in the next few years to come.

Why doesn't Canelo fight somebody his own size or bigger? I know he's good at fighting the smaller guys -- he sucker punched that Archi dude and he only weighs 115 lbs.

Man up and call out the bigger guys. In fact, why don't you call out Felix Strum, he's bigger but way too old.

Finally, am I the only one who hates the fact that those Euro's get to hold onto a title for years without ever having to come to the states for a fight? Sturm is actually a world champion and he's really not in the top ten of his own division.

Canelo is ready for Miguel Cotto. In fact I believe Canelo ought to fight Cotto in Madison Square Garden in has a very good probability of being victorious.

Im a Canelo fan, the boy is good! But Cotto is my man and id root for him, this fight makes perfect sense for everybody - Cotto would be Saul's first step up to the elite but not as dangerous as a PBF or Pac fight for example. Canelo is an undefeated champion who brings credibility and fans. Oh and while both guys are stars in their own rights one happens to hail from Puerto Rico and the other is Mexican so we have the famous rivalry and a big bucks clash! Stylistically it could be classic material too - MAKE THE ****IN FIGHT!

Will it happen? No, Bob Arum wont want a GBP (or anyone Not TR) fighter making any money from him when he can keep it in house....Prick

R u serious? Cotto is in the same division as Canelo. Hes calling for the best. No p4p best in Floyd, then lets get it on with the best in the division which is Cotto.

Totally agree. This would be an epic fight. Youth vs experience. Mexican vs Puerto Rican. Two likeable fighters. How will Canelo deal with Cottos technique? How will Cotto deal with Canelos power? Would generate big money and do over a million plus ppv buys. I think this is the 2nd biggest money maker behind Pac-Floyd. A little back story too since Canelo already beat Miguels brother.

Sounds like he is sticking with Uncle Bob im afraid which sucks as GBP would have some great fights for him...

I have the feeling after avenging Margarito, Cotto wants to do the same with his only other loss - Pacquaio. That and its a HUGE money fight. Arum has probably promised him the Manny rematch if he signs again - like he did for the first match.
