Next, Vitali has nothing to do with them not showing up in shape.

Lastly, I've got a number for you. It's 16. That is the number of losses Vitali's last 11 opponents had combined. That's 16 losses for 11 fighters. Three were unbeaten. That's less than two losses each in all title fights. If those fighters were bums they would have a) lost more and b) would not have been ranked high enough to be fighting for a title in the first place.
Who cares about pointless ridiculous numbers. Its like judging a fight via compubox: ****ing ******. I give credit to Vitali for his wins over Adamek, Peter, Gomez and Arreola since his comeback, but thats it, the rest like Sosnowski and Johnson are creampuffs regardless of how pretty their records are. And way past prime Briggs getting a title shot after his 1 month blitz of bums gets nothing from me either.

and anyone who believed fatasses like Kirk Johnson and Arreola stood a chance against Vitali needs a punch in the face. I know Vitali has no say over how ****ty his opposition shows up, but it doesnt change the fact that theyre still ****ty, and I cant give him much credit for that.

That being said, if he continues to fight and beats Haye and other top calibur opponents, I will definitely be happy to give him more credit accomplishment wise.

Well, whether they were ****ty or not, they were undefeated and were ranked in the top ten in Ring ****zine. What all that really matters here is that he fights and destroys the best available competition that will face him and that's all that can be expected of him. That's the short and long of this convo. No need to really say anything else.

I agree Hatton was great, The Sig is for fighters who are about now, I had thought about taking Haye out but I had a feeling he would return.
Don't forget to take that X off of Haye before the Vitali fight!

Undefeated means nothing. Kevin Johnson especially was ****, despite his undefeated record. And I have no problem with giving Vitali credit for his wins over Adamek, Arreola, Gomez and Peter...those were all legitimate wins over top opponents.

Briggs, Sosnowski, and Johnson? Hell no they werent highly rated.

and no, Vitali does has not faced the best competition out there, thats Wladimir youre talking about. Guys like Chambers, Haye and Chagaev are all better than anyone Vitali has beaten since his comeback. Wladimir has beaten substantially more top competition than Vitali, and since 2008 only Rahman(although now Mormeck as well) was not a meaningful win.

Having a perfect record doesnt make you a good fighter by any means. It depends who you beat, how, and when. ie Wladimir Klitschko is obviously far better than Tyson Fury, despite the 56-3 vs 17-0 record.

Kevin Johnson beat no one of note, and basically talked his way into a title fight and performed just as crappy as he really is.

Briggs and Sosnowski were the only fighters not rated in the Ring top ten since Vitali's comeback and they were basically keep busy fights. Vitali can't make guys fight him. There is also no doubt that big Vit would have walked through anyone Wlad has beaten with ease and you damn well know it. And if you don't, that's on you.

Excellent, so a fighter's career is based on 'what ifs', not what they actually accomplished. Cool. and Im not positive, but I really cant imagine the ring had Kevin Johnson rated in the top 10, since he sucks and never beat anyone even half way relevant.

Vitali should just retire already, and automatically get credit for beating everyone in the division.

                    Yes it does.
Klit and Fury is a terrible comparison, they don't have a similar number of fights.

OK, with this post you can go ahead and refer back to my post from a few comments back. It's still the same scenario. Nothing changed.

If you have a problem with Vitali's accomplishments, that's understandable I suppose. But he was getting the best of an ATG, lost on cuts only, has a steller record with 11 title defenses, came back after 4 years retirement and still dominated, has the highest HW champ KO ratio of all time and hasn't lost a fight without controversy. I'd say that's worth an honorable mention.

Ending, It's obvious that you are naive and won't be convinced so you can just go your way and I'll go mine.
