Floyd wouldve got killed by De la Hoya and Mosley at that age. The fact of the matter is this, yes Canelo is not ready for Floyd because hes still not fully developed but at least he has the balls to take on the best. Thats a warrior right there. Even if he loses to floyd, it could still be beneficial to canelo. Go the distance and win some rounds and he could learn from this. Only risk that would ruin his career would be if he was too get kod early which I don't think floyd could even ko Canelo. It would most likely be a Floyd decision. If the floyd pac fight happens, then a canelo vs cotto-margarito would make sense with the winner of both fights fighing each other in september.
This has nothing to do with balls and more to do with math. He doesnt loose much if he looses to floyd but gains a **** load of respect and cash if he wins. Why not prove himself in his own divison? Because if he looses to Kirkland his ass goes back to the drawing board. Dont confuse balls with economics. Also Floyd didnt challenge oscar at twenty because he actually built his career up slowly and properly. This ***** is trying to take a shortcut because his ass is ready to get exposed if he stays in his own lane. Thats the same reason ***** chavez jr is calling out de la hoya instead of martinez now. Neither can keep up their charade for much longer

Canelo better sit back down and wait his turn, Floyd hasn't gone on record to even reply to this challenge and already Alvarez is talking about making compromises in weight.

I would like Canelo vs Kirkland but I think Golden boy wants to keep them apart. Canelo would outbox Kirkland and stop him within 8, although Kirkland will be a threat at all times during a fight. Canelo is too smart to punch himself out like Angulo did. As for the winner of Cotto Margarito, a fight with one of them would be excellent. But Bob Arum could stand in the way. But in reality, this is boxing, its a business, its all about the dollar. If the megafight isnt gonna happen with Floyd Pac, then whats the next best thing for Floyd? We all know its Floyd vs Serg but Floyd wouldnt step up to that challenge? So who then would be next? Well lets see, who puts asses in the seats and brings Mexican viewership and could bring this marketability on may 5th? Saul Canelo Alvarez. If the kid wants the fight, give it to him but thats if Floyd accepts. Now I understand about fighting in his division, but the longer Canelo waits, the possibility that Floyd could retire. We all don't know how long Floyd plans too fight for? Hes already 34 and will by 35 by May. You don't want to be beating a past the prime floyd. Now could be the time.

Floyd called out Oscar and Mosley years before he fought them.

He wants to fight Floyd now because he knows if he fights the top guys in his division he'll eventually lose. If he loses he want's it to be for the biggest check possible.

I don't like the Kirkland fight myself. I give anybody Kirkland fight a decent chance of winning by ko.

GBP wants this fight so much to happen. Can't blame them. Every promoter wants in-house fights. No sharing or resources.
