Floyd ain't good with fast southpaws? The guy's only competitive fight was against Castillo, who was slow and bullied him. The "problems" Mayweather has with southpaws always lends itself to lopsided wins.

Ortiz didn't land anything on Mayweather, which is why he got frustrated and started using his head. Please stop listening to Jim Lamply and actual watch the fights. Ortiz landed nothing meaningful that entire fight.

Ive been telling people here marquez will give pac a hard fight. Most said it is a walk for pac, but look how it turned out. It was a technical boxing masterpiece of a fight. Style makes fights.. I see marquez pac at it 10 more time it will always be close..

Why do people keep saying Floyd is a one shot fighter. Floyd can throw combinations together and go offensive spontaneoulsy in a defensive stance without even getting touched. Floyd is a better counter puncher than JMM and has more power. Pac wouldn't stand a chance. What happened to Pac's power against JMM? He didn't even knock JMM down because Marquez fixed his flaws and adjusted his game plan while Pac was still pretty much the same fighter with a weak right hand. I said it a long time ago that people claim Pac improved but the guys he was fighting after JMM was not a measuring up. I tell you one thing and that is that Clottey and Mosley should be ashamed of themselves for making Pac out to be so ferocious by covering up and running, meanwhile a Lightweight moving up beat Pac up.

Yes he can but he doesn't really throw combo counters like the way marquez does it. marquez know how to dodge pac's straight left and knows pac's mannerism from his 24 epic rounds with him. They know each other very well.

Floyd dodging by bending down won't work of floyd coz he is taller. Marquez bending down was enough to make pac miss with his left.

Just think Floyd's defensive style ain't going to work on Pac. Shoulder role, pot shotting won't work. Combo shot upstairs won't work.. He has to do what jmm does which is the body shots the pivot. Floyd is to big to do that to pac.

Just don't see Floyd doing a jmm.. Floyd style is good for pac.. I truly think Floyd's krytonite is pac. As pac's Krytonite is JMM.

Styles and ability. Thats the newr cop out Pac fans: its not that Marquez is as good as pac its just his "style" . Bs Marquez is better than anyone Pac has fought end of story. Weither washed up or over rated they haven't been on Marquez skill level.

PACQUIAO: A VICTIM OF HIS OWN SUCCESS

1. NUMBER OF PUNCHES LANDED: Manny threw more and landed more punches. Since no one landed a big shot enough to hurt the other, this became an amateur-kind-of-fight where it needed to be scored on the number of punches connected.
2. AGGRESSION: Manny was the aggressor all night. Look at the fight again. Manny was chasing Marquez all night as Marquez was backpedalling throughout the fight. If Manny did not attack there would have been no fight.
3. RING GENERALSHIP: Manny controlled the tempo. The fight was dictated by Manny. He was moving and using his footwork while Marquez was waiting. Those who are saying that marquez gave Manny a boxing clinic are just plain dumb. What clinic? Manny dictated the fight. He made it exciting when he wanted to. He pressed the actions all night. He countered Marquez when he needed to. Marquez was so hesitant to even come forward.
4. CHAMPION vs CHALLENGER: The challenger needs to take the belt. It should not be handed out. Marquez did not do enough to take the belt. If this alone was the basis of scoring a tight round, it should have been 10:2 rounds in favor of Pacquiao.
5. CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS: Marquez did not do jack in the later rounds. Both did not land anything of significant in the championship rounds but at least Manny was pressing the action and was trying to have something happen. What did Marquez do ? - NOTHING. If Manny did what Marquez did in those rounds, they would have done dancing with the stars.
6. THE FACE: Look at their faces and tell me that "Marquez dominated the fight". Bullcrap! Marquez had far worse damage in his face.
7. HBO CREW and the CROWD: They were on the ball. Ledderman had it for Manny by 4 points. This is not to say they were 100% accurate. This simply means that Marquez did not dominate the fight and was not robbed of a victory. The crowd who were booing were mostly Mexicans. What do you expect? This was the closest a Mexican came close to winning in a long time against Manny

You're right styles do make fights, but the problem here, and the reason so many pure and true boxing fans are upset is that this is the third time this has happened. And last night was the worse. There were at least 6 rounds that Marquez clearly won, and even if you give every close fight to Pacquiao you still end up with a draw. That is the outrage, that is the bull**** people here are claiming. None of this well its their styles..., Marquez was better and should have won. End of story!
