Exactly... was definitely not Williams/Lara... there were plenty toss up rounds that couldve gone either way. Jmm landed the cleaner eye catching punches, but pac was getting some work in there too. Jmm face is evidence. Bottom line, u don't take the cash cow champion's belt without going hard the last 2 rounds.

For some reason, this reminded me of winky/Taylor.... close fight, but winky thought he was winning so he let off the gas during the championship rounds... I think if jmm pressed harder it would've been more definitive. Either way, pac walks away the loser in this situation regardless.

Absolutely. JMM coasted in the 12th, which was to his detriment. And I agree there where a few rounds that you could consider swing rounds(I did my best to score to who I thought won the round accordingly). If he goes balls out in the 12th the judges score cards would've looked slightly different, and you would've seen JMM's hand raised in victory 2-1 on the cards. And Im with you the Winky/JT fight is comparable in the coasting department with Pac/JMM III. And I completely agree with you Pac is the loser in this fight regardless of the judges tallies.

Marquez post fight comments.

“I’m frustrated right now,’’ Marquez admitted. “Very frustrated. Honestly, I don’t know what I have to do to change the mind of the judges. I think I won this fight more clearly than the other two (which ended in a draw and a split decision victory for Pacquiao that Marquez and many others hotly disputed).

“I don’t know what happened. What do I need to do? The best judge, for me, is the audience and they responded sensationally for me.’’

“It is the result of this fight that makes me think of retirement,’’ Marquez (52-6-1, 39 knockdowns) said. “I want the judge to score the fight the way it is happening. Everybody knows what happened. I think I won this fight more clearly. I really believe I need to drop him and they’d put him back up and give him the fight.”

Yes but his explosiveness wasn't there for the Mosley fight. The reason Manny has not looked good is because both refused to stand in front of him like robots and get hit. Mosley moved constantly away from Manny's left and circled him taking away Manny's aggressiveness.
Marquez was able to move and counter. Something neither Diaz, Hatton, DLH, Clottey, or Margarito could do.
Do you see now why people were upset with those Pacquiao opponents.

I agree but somewhat Pac was a bit different from the 1st and 2nd fight. He is not that totally focused. He was ready to eat punches in the first and 2nd fight, so I guess the rumor about his adultery might be true.

I am sorry if this hurts your feelings but if you didn't have Marquez winning or if you use compubox to fight your case you simply don't understand boxing. All you see is two guys trying to slug it out. That is not boxing.

This is boxing:

1) Effective Aggressiveness: Was pacquiao an effective aggressor? Hell NO!

2) Ring Generalship: Do I even have to make the case here. Marquez controlled the rythm, tempo, and the exchanges

3) Defense: Again do I even have to fight this for Marquez...... no contest Marquez

4) Clean and Hard Punching: All the clean and hard punches were Marquez, the only guy getting jolted out there was pacquiao.

we have different opinions so you can't judge someone who's saying otherwise

for me it's still a very close fight, but i think Pac won by a thinnest margin

JMM much deserved the 2nd fight over this one imo

JMM missed a lot during 10th-12th rounds, Pac's footwork pretty much saved his a$$

Didn't team Pac praise Manny in training camp, that he was punishing sparring partners and in the best condition he has ever been in? Manny Pacquiao fans need to stop it seriously. The reason why he looked like crap against Mosley and now JMM because they made him look like that because they actually had movement and didn't stand in front of Pac. Pac fans were saying how Manny was going to KO JMM in the early rounds but now their saying he's slipping?

Thats is why Pac hasnt fought any boxers since Marquez in 2008.

He has been hand-fed made-to-order opponents, and they thought that JMM had faded and could not handle welter.

Did Marquez just become the first Mexican to win a genuine title in 4 divisions?
