I am the biggest pacman fan. Did he win the first 2? A draw n a close win, very fair factoring 4 ko`s. Did pacman win this fight? Not even close. Behind by at least 3-4 rounds. People need to understand anything can be rigged. Vegas is in charge n bigger fights cannot be in jeopardy (mayweather vs pacman). I'm a bigger fan of Jmm now.....but this happening? Not fair n losing my fire of being a pacman fan. He lost the heart....he knew he lost just watch the fight.....how he talks...etc.

This is how rounds are supposed to be scored

      1) Effective Aggressiveness: Was pacquiao an effective aggressor? Hell NO!

      2) Ring Generalship: Do I even have to make the case here. Marquez controlled the rythm, tempo, and the exchanges

      3) Defense: Again do I even have to fight this for Marquez...... no contest Marquez

      4) Clean and Hard Punching: All the clean and hard punches were Marquez, the only guy getting jolted out there was pacquiao.
It was a close fight. Just look at your signature to show your bias.

Manny pressed the issue the whole fight and threw more punches. Marquez countered effectively.

Which do you favor? Your answer will be your winner.

And your answer is not the only one.

JMM landed more effective punches...pacquiao didn't know what to do..when he threw he missed most of his punches..he looked lost in the fight...he looked like a lost school girl who's used to fight weight drained bums..jmm beat him and pac knows that...now we know that mayweather would **** him...and of course arum is gonna make sure mayweather gets avoided.

I wouldnt say it was a Paul Williams/Eryslandy Lara type robbery, but I feel they should have given that fight to JMM, as I feel he actually won it. And Pac did not look flat at all. He looked like a fighter not wanting to be countered everytime he choose to engage. He was extremely frustrated from the looks of it.
Exactly... was definitely not Williams/Lara... there were plenty toss up rounds that couldve gone either way. Jmm landed the cleaner eye catching punches, but pac was getting some work in there too. Jmm face is evidence. Bottom line, u don't take the cash cow champion's belt without going hard the last 2 rounds.

For some reason, this reminded me of winky/Taylor.... close fight, but winky thought he was winning so he let off the gas during the championship rounds... I think if jmm pressed harder it would've been more definitive. Either way, pac walks away the loser in this situation regardless.

Why do people use compubox numbers as some sort of definitive measure of how the fight actually went? I hate to break it to those that do not know how compubox works, it's just a couple of guys pressing buttons when they think a punch landed. They are not 100% accurate and are completely subjective.

Pacquiao won fair and square some might be lead to believe Marquez won because the rounds he won he dominated. But, the close rounds go to the aggressive harder puncher. That's boxing... People thought that Pac would run through Marquez so anything short of that looks like he was losing, I actually thought that Pac did better this fight and so did the judges. Look at his face after the first two fights and look at his face tonight, minus the headbutt cut... Yet look at Marquez's face after the fight and then look at the punch stats and then ask who was more aggressive and who did the most damage??? I had it 116 - 112 Pac, and like Emanuel Stewart said go take the title!!! Don't fight a defensive counter-punch fight and then cry when the agressive fighter who threw more punches and landed more punches and Fed your face up gets the W... Pac won and it wasn't pretty but when the fight was a draw after 8 rounds (4-4) Marquez got hit and a little winded and lost any intrest in trying to win the fight outright and taking it out of the judges hands... Message to Marquez and all his cry baby fans... IF YOU FELT YOU WERE ROBBED IN THE FIRST TWO FIGHTS..... GO FOR THE KNOCKOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, I don't blame him for not doing so because I saw him take some good shots but don't complain after the fight. Just say I wanted to win but I wasn't going to lay it all on the line and go for the KO because I knew that if I did that I would have to take risk and I wasn't willing to take risk like that against Pac and looking at his face after the fight nobody would blame him for saying that.... Pac looked vulnerable in this fight lets hope that Floyd would be willing to fight now but I doubt it....

its funny how floyd was talking about fighting pacquiao during the ortiz conference.. then making a may 5th date for a big fight verus the biggest draw he can find.. but on the oppisite side arum right after the fight talks about a pacquiao-marquez 4 hmm wonder y?

have my doubts about this fight happening now, and tonights pacquiao would be a walk in the park for mayweather

I'm seeing a lot of arguments regarding the fact that Pac outlanded Marquez
Buuuutt honestly Marquez landed the cleaner, harder punches.

This sort of reminds me of Martinez/williams 1 for some reason....

The first two fights were controversial but this one wasn't. "Controversial" implies that there are two valid points of view about who won and that it is a matter of opinion. This was one of the most barefaced robberies in boxing history and only out-and-out *******s would claim otherwise. Anyone who had Marquez winning by less that four rounds was either blind or hopelessly biased or simply knows nothing about boxing. I had it 117-111, and arguably it could have been scored 118-110 to Marquez. I could just about respect someone who scored it 116-112 to Marquez but only just. Anyone who scored it closer than that I have no respect for. And anyone who claims Pacquiao won is beneath contempt.
