Good thing Krikland left no questions unanswered and knocked Angulo the **** out, because if he didn't, chances are Kirkland would get screwed over by a decision in favor of Angulo or even a draw. Those Mexican judges were biased pieces of trash, just like those judges who were at the Williams-Lara fight.

Here's hoping that Saul Alvarez doesn't duck James Kirkland in favor of shot, faded fighters like Carlos Baldomir and Kermit Cintron. War Kirkland!

they were going to screw james. hbo lederman revealed the fix was in. good thing james ko'd angulo. i dont think saul will fight james any time soon. he already fought baldomir and he is fighting cintron next. sorry dude. but the cintron fight is a good one for canelo. you dont want to ruin the kid by putting him in with james too soon. eventhough canelos combos would keep him a live dog. but at this poinbt james would beat him. imo

I wouldn't have a problem with your statement about Alvarez not fighting Kirkland if Alvarez ISN'T the current champion of the division. But he is, and he needs to fight the best to prove his claim to that belt of his. How long is he going to hold that belt while fighting faded, powerless, and shot fighters like Gomez, Baldomir, Matthew Hatton, Jose Miguel Cotto, and Cintron?

LOL!! ¿What's Angulo's excuse this time? ¿Was he sick again?(like the cheap excuse he used when he claimed to be sick against Cintrón in Angulo's 1st defeat)..After Angulo & his team saw that feather-fisted Ishida annihilated Kirkland in the 1st round & before Ishida, Kirkland was rocked by some unknown, they thought that Kirkland would be an easy & at the same time a known name & a good piece of cake fighter with a good record to add to their resume & then move on towards HYPE JOB "Canelo"..Well this SURE AS HELL was 1 surprise they didn't expect & REALLY BLEW UP IN THEIR FACE!!Just imagine what Lara(who Angulo has been DUCKING for quite a while now) would have done to Angulo..

Really? I don't see how Kirkland would or could beat Lara. He always will have a puncher's chance, but I'm pretty sure Lara's defense would keep him relatively unscathed. I think Lara would stop him somewhere in the mid rounds.

i think james dont get enough credit for his boxing skills(myself included) he throws very good combos.in the paul williams fight i really was not all that impressed with lara. i though he tried to coast in the last few rounds and it cost him. imo james would be too strong for lara and would land enough power shots to slow him down and stop him in the later rounds. thats just my opinion. you see something in lara i dont. but i respect that. thats what makes this site a good one. there is a lot of knowledge bandied about here.

I thought it was a good fight, Angulo counter was timed perfectly with the right cross. He should've picked his spots after instead of bust'n his load all in the first round. If you ask me, Angulo made things complicated on himself. Should've been easier than it was for Ishida. However Kirkland deserves all the credit, fought coming off the canvas, weathered the storm and finished it.

no doubt you have a valid point. but i just dont see canelos people putting him in with kirkland. and there a number of fighters that feed of the carcases of have been and name only fighters. i would love to see canelo fight james but i do think thats a mistake GBP wont make. cintron still has enough power to keep canelo honest.

Kirkland was whooping Angulo's ass before Angulo landed the flash knockdown.

Even after the 1st knockdown, Kirkland was still landing hard shots on Angulo.

The difference in this fight is Anne Wolfe and the KILLER training/sparring sessions they have daily. THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE.

I said the training would be the difference in this fight. Any real athlete out there knows when to recognize training that will make a fighter not lose.

The only other person at 154 that can handle Kirkland is Martinez and maybe Cotto. But I still don't think Cotto has been the same since Margarito.

had nothing to do with luck. and the training was a factor. ann wolf has james lie on the ground then has multiple dudes pill on him and he has to power out and then spar for several rounds. angulo was much more exhausted than james was. and the traininbg was a significant factor. thats why he looks so much better with wolf than another trainer
