All the inactivity of angulo cost him big in this fight not to mention his idiotic gameplan of just punch wildly without setting anything up and sapping all his energy.

angulo might be damaged goods from here on out he was out of it in the 2nd and took sustained punishment while fatigued which is bad for you and a rematch would prob be the same maybe not as one-sided kirkland does have some subtle moves and skill while angulo does not.

Great 1st round that lead to a horrible beatdown.

Good post crillz, but I think Lara would beat the breaks off Kirkland. Molina would, possibly even Vanes would. He can lose to guys at 154 no doubt. But great win tonight.

i really dont see lara beating kirkland. i really dont see vanes beating james. but hey i had angulo beating james based on the questionable conditioning and lack of chin he showed in that tko loss.in boxing anything can happen. ann wolf has very strange ways of conditioning james. its almost like she is training him for a wrestling match insted of a boxing match. but her methods work for james. he should stick with her.

Wow. Not that it matters or anyone will believe me, m and my pops were talking right before the first bell rang and he asked "who do you thinks gonna win" I said if the old Kirkland's back, He stops Angulo in 6. Haha. But seriously, Kirkland's stock just went sky high, even higher than before he did his bid.

I've always thought that HBO was hyping this kid and making him to be better than he actually is. He got schooled during his first lost to a guy that was able to out box him and I thought that anyone that were very good boxers would dominate him and expected that they would make sure that he goes up against guys that would just stand in there with him.

Top my surprise, that put him up against another puncher. I've never thought that he would be out punched in any fight. Although he does not look as physically imposing as some of these other fighters, he has an excellent chin and just seemed to be stronger than everyone else. During this particular fight, he fought a guy that was just as strong as him, but was faster, had a chin, and the stamina to compete with him.

I do not think Angulo is as great as people are teying to make him out to be. I think he will continue to lose to the top echelon boxers in the division. He will always be a very good fighter, but he will always come up short when it really counts.

Like I said in my first ever post (this is my 2nd), I'm a Mayweather fan, but if he fought Pac and if I was a betting man, I would either bet against Mayweather or not bet at all.

you seriously would beat against mayweather in a pac fight?? that would be his easiest fight to date pac hasn't showed any boxing skills just pure brawl and power. Even on the fighst were he dominated he shows his flaws counters from clottey when he wanted to except he didn't throw. cotto outboxed him first couple of rounds. Come this weekend more than likely pacquiao will beat JMM. but i know for a fact JMM would again expose ho easy it is to counter pacquiao only if JMM was as strong as PBF, faster, more defensive, smarter, better chin ohh **** thats mayweather and look how JMM gave pac trouble how he stunned pac. Imagine what pbf would do to pac he would completely annihilated him.

It would be a ghatii type fight for him. Just like you say about hbo hyping angulo out they never hyped him up they say he is one of the strongest fighters out there and that aint a lie. A lie is pac thats who really the media have hyped when pac faces a real challenge then i would believe but marg, mosley, cotto, clottey, dlh, hatton etc how were they coming from were they in their best moments of their careers?

molina and vanes would get ****d by kirland and angulo as well. Lara would present problems bc he will box circles around kirkland. But if lara doesnt have enough power and catches kirlands attention with something big he will be in big trouble which I dont think he would. I would love to see that fight

Also, Kirkland showed his boxing skills also, which he has alot more than people would think. If you rewatch the fight you'll see the jab is what really won him this fight, obviously along with his grit. every single time he pumped his jab he stopped Angulo in his tracks, everytime Angulo would attempt to open up James would counter him with the left, Kirkland LITERALLY was superior in every department, and beat Angulo in every department. But I seriously hope Angulo is okay, he did not look good at all after the fight. I don't think he'll ever be the same physically, mentally OR emotionally after getting destroyed like that.
