    Anyways...can we get a better mic next time and a better crowd? I mean it is cancun $$$$.Ive seen better crowds then this one on the tecate fights.I expected a huge draw.But aside that what determination,what digging deep is all about.Im actually very shock how both of them got tired and the pace of the fight changed.I really think anne wolfe pulled this one in for kirkland with her training regime.Props to her too as well.It was a baaarrnn buuuurner.Im out had too many drinks.

      That round should be round of the year hell make it fight of the year if you want, I won't debate you because I would lose.


      Major kudos for Kirkland because he stepped it up and salvaged his career and he did so with flying colors.

      Let's have a rematch!!!!

      Then a third fight just for fun

      Tonight was Boxing at it's most brutal and savage and after consecutive dissapointing ppv's (next weeks ppv notwithstanding) this was a fun "free" night.

          first round = amazing, it was really like watching a rocky movie, i haven't seen anything like it, also, how the hell do u punch urself out in the 1st round??? the steam was gone from angulo's punches after 2 minutes into the fight and he never recovered. wtf man! would've been better if it was closer... kinda reminds me of ortiz vs miadana in 2009

            same here, minus the quitting like a puto by ortiz. angulo would never quit, too much warrior.


            tonight, james kirkland inspired me to be a better person, and a better man. i feel manlier just typing his name.

              Big props to both fighters! Kirkland showed some skills that surprised me, never knew he was that efficient with the jab. Angulo showed heart, too bad he lost his legs after the knockdown it could've been FOTY. Classic 1st, round of the year. Wonder if Sulaiman put a hit Mexico style on Kirkland, no way he let's Canelo get in the ring with that animal.

                This people should just give respect. that was one of the best fights and acts of courage from both fighters.

                  Uh, it's not hard to look good against a guy who can barely move because of exhaustion.

                  He did show patience though. Even though Angulo was completely done for, he didn't just try to take him out, he worked on him a bit first. So got to give him respect for that.

                    only reason it was in mexico was cause of angulo. every other 154er would fight kirkland in the US. i didn't really pay attention to the crowd.

                      kirkland actually showed some decent defense too, for a guy who comes at you head on like a brawler, he was picking off angulo's punches, at the same time, kirkland looked gassed as well, not nearly as much as angulo, but bad enough where it makes me question if he can go the full 12 or not
