The fourth round well thats a matter of opinion I guess, but in judging how the fight was headed and the pace in which it was fought think about it Floyd threw 208 shots in the first four rounds, there were 8 rounds left, Floyd mayweather Jr does not throw 50 shots per round, and most of them were power shots, and he was getting hit by this kid, and he was missing alot of shots himself, and even when he did open up the kid kept comming for him.

To me the post fight presser says it all when Floyd was asked if he heard Cortez call time in or command them to box, he stated, I didnt hear him say anything but what goes around comes around.

In other words it was Floyd who looked for a way out and was willing to take a DQ loss which would be more justifyable to his fans than either lossing down the streach or winning a narrow close questionable decison.

To me thats the fight I saw, I did not see the Floyd mayweather that the fans he has claim showed up thats for god damn sure. what I saw was a young kid who came in with a great game plan (minus the headbutt) he boxed in spots and made Floyd come to him and then exploded when he would bait Floyd in...

Floyd did not want to find out the truth about himself so he looked for a way out and found it.

Yup, That's how rational boxing fans are seeing it. Only *****s can't realize how Floyd wasn't effective in that round..

That opening flurry by Floyd got the HBO commentators attention and they gave him lots of praise.

Watching it in slow motion, it seems like Floyd was missing a lot. Nearly each shot. If Ortiz can make Floyd miss, how can he hit Manny?

Yup, sometimes we get carried away of what the commentators are saying not realizing they actually missing on a lot of things in between.

I thought Ortiz was doing very well towards the end of the fight and deffinitely getting the better of Floyd. Shame he's nothing better than a street fighter with the attention span of a goldfish and deserved to be KOed as such.

When people wear rose colored glasses, they tend to see what they want to see and discard everything else. What you didn't see in that round was that Victor Ortiz only landed 9 of 27 punches while Mayweahter landed 27 of 63, according to Compubox. What you didn't see was that, when Floyd was laying on the ropes in that round, Ortiz only landed two punches during the entire flurry, not including the headbutt. What you didn't see was that Floyd hurt Ortiz early in the round and Ortiz had to grab Mayweather to keep from going down.

Its obvious that you also didn't see the headbutt as a deliberate attempt by Ortiz to either hurt Mayweather to the point where he could not continue or to get himself disqualified. Those rose colored glasses are blinding you to the truth.

Looks to me like he is being pulled down with the left hand and hit with the right hand which is also illegal, but your saying Floyd staggered him here right? get the **** out of here 3 or 4 shots landed in this sequience at best alot were blocked by Ortiz.

Which 4th round are u watching? I think Floyd connected about 3x more than Ortiz...Yes, Ortiz connected some subpar shots on Floyd against the ropes with those two little flurries but they did no damage...Floyd kept scoring on this guy...go head...count the points...Those two combinations are enough to win a round, especially if none of those shots are punishing...that was an easy round to score...notice the jab and right hands connecting.....

How do u put a video on a thread that contradicts your point? This was clearly a round for Floyd. This is sad that a person has to record a video of one round of Floyd's 42 win career to try to hate. This guy is one of the best we've seen...lets just face it...
