****Time 2:00 victor flurries and hits floyd with a barrage of punches to floyd's face. 2:16 floyd shakes his head to say I'm good but you got me there boy. Happened all when he was trapped on the ropes. SWEET! ****

*** time 2:19 vicious punch 2:25, 2:26 all good lethal shots. Clean crisp. Got to love it. 2:41, 2:43 mark ,right on the money.

And if you noticed Floyd hitting victor's gloves most of the fourth. Victors high guard frustrated floyd. Victor was clearly winning that round before he turned into a pitbull and head butted lol

Just saying 4th was definitely an ortiz round, and the tide was clearly shifting if only victor kept his composure we would have gotten a good fight.

it was turning into a great fight as evident to the competitiveness of Ortiz in the 4th. He was able to **** with Floyd and give him fits. Never seen Floyd get hit that much and missing a lot in a round.

Ortiz, was making his presence felt in there. It was shaping up to becoming a good fight.. But this thread shows we were robbed of a good fight.

what Victor did has something to do with his temperament. Like a pitbull who lost a leash he goes deranged and attacks. Victor's old trainer said he is weak minded. He loses control. He was like a nasty dog who got his leash removed and went nuts in the ring.

It's like a dog. His kind of breed is unstable and has the tendency to bite or go nasty. Like tyson was. He gets crazy when frustrated, hence the balrog head butt. But if he was stable and in control of his head he would realize he was winning the fourth round. It's all in the breeding. Some are stallions some are crazy mutts.

We could have had a good match here. It was shaping up to be an interesting fight until floyd cheap shoted his way to victory.

#####If it was the pacman (the p4p champ) doing that flurry it's academic pac will finish him good for sure. Ain't rocket science. Simple really a "B" class fighter like ortiz got floyd good at the ropes what more if pac was doing it. If it makes sense it must be true.#######
When people wear rose colored glasses, they tend to see what they want to see and discard everything else. What you didn't see in that round was that Victor Ortiz only landed 9 of 27 punches while Mayweahter landed 27 of 63, according to Compubox. What you didn't see was that, when Floyd was laying on the ropes in that round, Ortiz only landed two punches during the entire flurry, not including the headbutt. What you didn't see was that Floyd hurt Ortiz early in the round and Ortiz had to grab Mayweather to keep from going down.

Its obvious that you also didn't see the headbutt as a deliberate attempt by Ortiz to either hurt Mayweather to the point where he could not continue or to get himself disqualified. Those rose colored glasses are blinding you to the truth.

It's not (just) about the round, it's the wider significance with regard to the direction in which the fight was going. If Ortiz had headbutted and was KO'd at the end of round 3 there wouldn't have been quite as much controversy but he was taken out underhandedly at a time when he begun to have success thus denying the world what was shaping up to be a great fight.

There is no way a human can keep up with the pace of fight let alone remember digits to press to record the type of hit it was. He said the CEO of the company and his brother would get all the big HBO fights, and they would let newbies like him do the "lesser" fights.

Bottom line HIGHLY in accurate. It's no wonder that watching the video and pausing and rewinding yields a higher accuracy and better representation of the story of the fight.
Yup, these *****s think there is some kind of accurate computer tallying the punches landed lol.. Slowmo tells it all, the best way to see the accurate more telling shots.. And of course the heavier landed bombs are more telling than a patsy shot when you count and compubox sometimes can't tell the diff..

Your the one blinded by love for Floyd.. Can't even see how badly Floyd's head was snapping like a twig, getting tagged on the ropes like a bubble head.. Makes me kringe everytime I see that.. It must have hurt Floyd so bad.. Btw, don't count the missed shots of Floyd for most part he was hitting leather and air.. It's all in slowmo..

That opening flurry by Floyd got the HBO commentators attention and they gave him lots of praise.

Watching it in slow motion, it seems like Floyd was missing a lot. Nearly each shot. If Ortiz can make Floyd miss, how can he hit Manny?
