I was pissed when I figured out that Larry the drunk was doing the interview. Kellerman would have got answers from Floyd and not let personal issues take control. Shyt pissed me off. I hate that old man. HE ruined what everyone wanted to see and that was Floyd getting asked "whats next" and Kellerman would have made that happen.

Larry just couldnt wait to get in there and start some shyt. I hope they do fire him. It annoys me that he argues with boxers like Jones Jr and Big Foreman as if he knows more than they do... I really hope he gets fired or is not allowed to interview Floyd again.

Larry Merchant had this coming to him... He knows that Money may doesn't think Merchant respects his boxing skills.. Merchant is just a bitter old man and a HATER of all HATERS.. Theres times that a man can take so much.. Floyd had this bottled up for years now... So he just exploded on him.. Merchant is a fool and should be fired... While Larry Merchant may not have given you a "fair shake," that's his job. He's supposed to stir things up, generate a buzz, and make the interview exciting. He did that. He played you like you were the villain, because that's how the crowd views you. If you can't handle that, get out of professional sports.

You sounded ******ed, however, in stating that someone has to have done something to be an expert. That's the ******est thing I've ever heard. People can have far more knowledge about a trade than someone who's spent their life performing that trade. Tiger Woods has swing coaches, for example, who could never challenge him on the golf course. But they have an invaluable amount of knowledge, and an unbiased set of eyes watching. Why would he need swing coaches who have barely played golf before?

Why would Roger Federer need a coach who has never been #1 in the world before? A guy who's never even come close to winning a major championship tells the winningest player in the game's history what to do on the court.

Why are football coaches made up of guys with great brains who have never played a snap in their life? Shouldn't they have the experience of a player to develop a sound game plan?

This comment made you look like a fool, Mr. Mayweather. Experience isn't everything. Knowledge is power, after all. Knowledge comes from study and observation.

I see what you're trying to do but you're missing something fundamentally.

Tiger Woods has swing coaches. Those swing coaches have swung a golf club maybe millions of times. I highly doubt that Tiger Woods is having swing coaches who have barely ever played golf ever before. Who becomes a swing coach without a want to play golf? They don't have to challenge Tiger Woods to play golf...

Roger Federer's coach may not have been #1 in the world, but he most likely has had a lot of experience actually playing tennis himself. In fact he is a former professional tennis player. Was Larry Merchant ever a professional boxer? I don't believe he ever was though correct me if I'm wrong.

Again, how can you make the assumption that great football coaches are ones who have never played a snap in their life. Also, football coaches become coaches by learning from other football coaches.

Experience isn't everything, but it sure as hell matters a lot. Good boxers will fight as well as analyse their opponent, commentators just analyse the fight. Would you choose a doctor who has done his research but never performed a certain type of surgery before or a doctor who has done his research and also performed that surgery before?
