Putting advantages/disavantages aside for a second...

I'm pretty sure JMM wanted this fight at welterweight.
He wants a world record (4th division) to go along with his revenge.

    On the flip side...

Manny should've taken this fight at lightweight.
To get a world record (5th lineal) along with his revenge.

I don't think he can if he wants to fight for the Welterweight title that Manny holds.

He can come in whatever weight, below the contracted limit, he feels optimal and still fight for Manny's belt.
Similar to how Manny showed up below the JMW fight with Margarito.

They could have agreed to fight at 140 and had it be for the lineal JWW title that Pac got when he starched Hatton and Marquez could have a gotten a 4th division claim as the lineal champ which is better than any crooked a$$ belt, plus 140 is Pacs natural weight anyways but theyre being unfair and Bob Arumish!

jmm ****ed up by not fighting his tune up at a higher weight. he should've fought a WW or a jr WW at 144 lbs to prepare for pac.

I hated it when Floyd did it and Ill hate it now that Pac is doing it too. Although I believe Pac will make the weight unlike Floyd.

Pac has the opportunity to make his legend even greater by fighting a not in his prime but still capable JMM at 140 and doing the honorable thing and meeting him at JWW to shut up all the critics but theyre doing business "Bob Arum" style over there.

              You demand...LOL

You swear like PAC is the one calling out Marquez LMAO. They're just giving Marquez another opportunity to face PAC again...and it could have been at the full welterweight limit. You can't fight at 140 for a 147 belt dummy.

Manny already lost The Ring Belt for JWW, and I'm not sure if he is still considered lineal champion at that weight since he hasn't fought there for a while.

after he ventured up to 144 and lost instead of going to 140 and staying at 144ish what did he do?

went back to 135 even at his advanced age

also, the tune up fight he just had wanna take a guess as to what he weighed? 138, as a tune up for a welterweight fight.
That could also have been a "business decision". The guys at 140 were sharks. Or were perceived to be.

18 months ago, if I said to you Devon vs Marquez...

Of course Pac wasnt the one calling out Marquez when did I say that moron? Point it out to me, post it and ill admit I said that! Good luck with that dummy!

Bull**** that you cant fight for a belt in a higher weight class without actually even being in the weight class. Pac fought Margarito for a (cough bull**** cough) 154 pound belt while weighing 144 and Margs wasnt even allowed to weigh in at 154!

Calzaghe vs Hopkins was at 170 for hopkins 175 pound ring belt so quit with your uneducated a$$ and only open your mouth if you know what youre talking about DUMMY!!!

Plus they could have easily made the fight at 140 pounds and had the lineal title on the line that Pac took from Hatton and had that as the opportunity for Marquez to get his 4th title in a 4th weigh class so there would be no need for them to fight at 147 considering that Pac can easily easily make 140 because its his natural weight.

As for Pacs team "demanding", they demanded that Marquez fight at full welter (147) first and after everyone started to give them **** about that being a pu$$y move since Marquez looked horrible at 144 and they back tracked and said 144 just like the Floyd fight with Marquez.

All of that instead of meeting in the middle to make it fair. Anything else to say ........dummy?

                      but he's now aged.

and fighters tend to get heavier as they age, so 135 may not be his optimum weight at this point in time.

IMHO, Marquez is no longer at his peak and going down to 135 might actually drain him. most likely his optimal weight now would be around 140.
His "optimum" weight may not neccessarily be 135, it may be only that he can get down to that weight, after months of training, and still be effective enough to win.

In this Pacquiao fight, he is carefully, technically, nutritionist supervised, adding good, solid, weight so that whilst he may have the added advantage in strength he will also be able to retain his normal speed. This is the way MannyP did it. As well as Joe Calzaghe, Bernard Hopkins, and many other toop guys who went up a weight or two and were successful.
