Pretty disgusting to read from him, I mean he may have gone low about 30 times in that fight and the thing is he was capable of winning in a legitimate manner. The win is tainted and I hope there is a rematch.

I like Mares, but now he is just being plain ******. The 2nd KO was clearly not a KO. That was a clear nut shot.

I don't condone the use of low blows in any fight and although there were a handfull of clear and blatant low blows that undoubtably deserved a point deduction many were right on the belt line where most would agree are legal considering the belly-button wasn't showing...that being said, Russell Mora did a di****able job (or lack there of). Another thing that nobody is talking about was the 113-113 card, I don't know how you can find 8 rounds to give agbeko?!?! The fight was close, but not nearly as close to a draw if you factor in the knockdowns legitamate or not

I was very disappointed by Mares in this fight, he has the ability to win cleanly but this is the 2nd time in a row that he fights like this. I watched a video on youtube showing how many times Mares low blowed Darchinyan and it was almost as bad as this. No doubt the referee was paid off by Golden Boy that is for sure. Agbeko was a proud champ but I think he needs to higher his workrate and throw his right hand more. The one in the 4th round was a great right hand that wobbled Mares and Agbeko should have jumped on him from there. I like Mares he has good skills and he is a well mannered kid but the ref helped him alot and an immediate rematch needs to be scheduled for him to clear his name.

The 2nd low blow was horrible man it seemed intentional and the referee knew the fight was close. Someone said that Agbeko couldnt possibly have won 8 rds, well maybe if he wasnt getting low blowed all night he would have been able too lol. With a different Ref we will see a whole new fight Agbeko must have had alot taken out of him. He was dominating Rd 11 until that dirty low blow. Much shame because I was rooting for Mares but not to win it like this.

Great post, folks are losing it. Most of those punches were on the belt and Agbeko didnt help himself by holding Mares. Too many were low, Mares should have been deducted a point and possibly warned for DQ, but not as many as folks are making out. Boxing commentators are a total waste of space. Agbeko got outboxed and outworked for the most part.
