I don't really see how Lucas won more than 5 rounds. There was a kd though and that's the difference. Alexander arguably has three losses in a row. Doing enough to make it close isn't good enough. That's the story of his career so far. He needs a new trainer. Cunningham has done all he can do. The guy's still go talent, he needs to go in a different direction.

Once again almost all folks posting have no sense of reality. Matthysse gave up the early rounds trying to swing for the fences and lost them. Had he really been able to hurt Devon, his strategy would have worked. He was only able to knock him down. That did not close the gap for the rounds he lost. Blake Griffen could dunk on Duncin all night and still LOSE!! After a fight that close, as a professional, you live with the decision. Matthysse has NO ROOM TO TALK! NONE! If you guys score the fight round by round you will give the fight to Alexander.Some rounds were close but Alexander still won those rounds.Matthyse might have impressed some people because people want to see a knockout but he was outboxed.Alexander's combinations were the difference.He would put 3-5 shots together then move to the side.

Ok, he put 3-5 shots together but he still landed less punches than Mathysse, and he got KOed down also, that's 2 points less right there on the round. and we talking about Don King promoting this fight. However you paint it, it smells like home cooking to me, JMHO....

Theres no humanly way possible, turn off the SOUND and watch the fight at half speed.

Dude is throwing ARM PUNCHES that have NO POWER and IS MISSING MOST.

Lucas was throwing BOMBS and MISSED exact same %.

He was the aggressor all night.

All Alexander did was hang on for dear life and GRUNT like a Womans tennis player, anytime he threw a 3 punch air combo the crowd cheered, this swayed the judges, they were already paid off anyways.

His punches had NO AFFECT AT ALL, HE HUNG ON, HE DANCED GOING BACKWARDS.

Everyone knows who the true winner of the fight was I hope someone writes Lucas on a baseball bat and hits a homerun using Don Kings and Devon Alexanders head. Pathetic, hopefully HBO refuses to show any more of his fights since he has had 3 loses in a row.

Lucas CLEARLY won this fight.. Yes a close fight can be a robbery, especially when its a 10 round fight and you got a knockdown..
He won rounds 4,7,8,10 CLEARLY, and won round at least 1-2 more rounds

I was pulling for Devon...but he lost that imo...just shook my head when his arm got raised....Matts landed the bigger and more often...bad call by the judges imo

lucas should've stopped him, that's his fault. before the fight, he always said "i need a knockout, because i can't let what happened in the judah fight happen again." well lucas, you did let it happen again.
he also needs to work on defense, seems like he relies on his power too much, even though he couldn't finish devon off. matthysse needs to improve, or else he'll become a stepping stone..
