I just rewatched the fight with the sound off and i gave Alexander 3 rds and that generous.

It wasn't that bad. If he wouldn't have been knocked down you wouldn't even really have an argument. It was close and COULD have went either way. Devon had his moments but overall was disappointing. I had Alexander only winning by a round.

I still like what Matthysse said about Judah "Judah is 10X times better", that speaks volumes as to the state Alexander is in...

Devon is a good fighter but overrated.true story.he has no clutch since being crowned.this is the guy who won a belt against JUNIOR WITTER THE QUITTER,koetlink beat him IMO,got bullied by a smaller bradley which i think myself bradley is overrated as well sorry!, and lucas just wrote DOUBT last night on alexander's head,so in all the streak is really 1-3 amid these aren't the real top guys in the division.maybe later but not in the meantime.

People do not know what boxing is.It's about landing shots and taking less shots.Alexander was throwing combinations and moving,he had better defence.If you check in slow motion most of Matthyse's shots were not landing.Yes Matthyse threw harder shots but he was simply outboxed.I had Alexander winning by 2 rounds even though he was knocked down.Alexander proved he's a great fighter with better ring generalship.Matthyse is a good fighter but he relies on his power too much.Unfortunately he will be losing a lot of fights in the future because other boxers will find a way of beating him.After some time Matthyse will be having so many of these losses he will start looking like a bum.

Exactly.. To me Devon was the superior boxer and his speed was too much for Matthysse IMO, kept jabbing, catching him on the way in, then would counter Matt quickly almost every time he got hit although they weren't hard punches they score pts, Matt just needs to move his head more, straighten up his punches a bit an stop throwing so many power shots..

yeah maybe it was close, if you want to count pitter patter punches, but anyone watching this one can clearly see that Alexander was getting the worse of it. And if you want to go to the scorecards, i would say ok Lucas needs the 10 th to secure it and guess what? he won the 10th and final round. it doesnt matter now because Alexander cant continue fighting in st louis. wherever he goes from her on out he loses and gets booed. I havent had genuine hatred and disgust for a boxer and his corner and hometown for a while, but this fight really showed how ugly some people are. disgusting. and for anyone defending this piece of **** is even more disturbing.

Man, it wasn't that bad for you to have hate.. it was close. Matthysse had him hurt and didn't finish him off. He had the opening but missed his chance. I personally thought he was going to get the stoppage/KO but when he didn't and Alexander started to recover and counter in the next rounds... I knew it would be a close SD for Devon.

But I understand how you feel, I thought Froch got a hometown decision vs Dirrel (Super Six). Dirrel just schooled his ass to the point Froch was frustrated and resulted to him body slamming Dirrel and didn't even get point deducted. That's hometown cooking.... Did you actually watch the fight? You say Alexander threw more combinations but Matthyse actually threw and landed more punches. Yes Devon threw alot of one-two's but he wasn't exactly a combo machine. Maybe you should re-check your slow motion because so many of Devon's punches were short and perception seemed that he was landing with all the grunting and quick snap on his ARM punches but in reality he wasn't landing as much as it seemed. Devon get's a lot of credit for hanging in the pocket and being slick, but, for a slick fighter he sure did take a lot of shots from someone who only relies on power as you say. Oh yeah, I guess at the end of the fight when Alexander's corner was begging him to throw one-two's and hold that must be the ring generalship you were talking about cus I thought it was the body attack of Matthyse that had Devon gasping for air and hanging on for dear life. Anyways, very good performance from both fighters in a close decision that could go either way.

Alexander was exposed yet again as a fraud who has more power in his Grunts than in his ability to punch. Matthysse showed he is almost a carbon copy of Madiana without the sloppiness but lacks the all out aggression of Marcos. Clearly a robbery but i guess in St Louis the people are used to such Crimes. Alexander better try for a rematch with the Feather Fisted Bradley and stay away from Heavy Handed fighters who show no fear in Alexanders Grunting. Its decisions like this that makes grown men turn into ****** and switch over and become MMA fans. You are better than that America!!!!

Devon took a few unnecessary shots, thats boxing.. but people act like Matthysse was landing every punch he wasn't, actually he was missing a lot an Devon was landing a lot of short quick punches, and counters,watched the fight again I had originally gave Matt the 6th but I take that back, Compubox may say one thing but I personally don't count a lot of those punches while literally huggin and holding on the inside just before the ref breaks like compu does...it's often misleading...
