    Not a robbery

Ok I had matthysee winning by 95 94 but in a close fight like that things like a disputed result will happen. Maybe instead of wining, mat matthysse needs to learn scoring more or knockout your opponents since he is such a big knockout artist

Alexander fights like some spamming fool from Fight Night. So many fighters nowadays think all they have to do is go in there and shadowbox. It's not a beauty pagent. It's not about who looks slicker it's about who's the better fighter and who won the fight. Last night Alexander proved that all you have to do is try to look slick and you automatically win. HBO should dump Alexander and give Matthysse whatever he wants.

Sadly, but it evident that homecooking occurs all the time in Boxing, especially in very competitive fights, the close rounds goes to the local fighter. The rounds Lucas won were undisputed, he won it going away. But in the fight in St. Louis last night, they were many close rounds. I'm not surprise or upset Alexander got the decision. You cannot beat your opponent really badly for 3-4 rounds but lost the remaining rounds and expect to win the fight.
Lucas Mattyysse was offered a premature stoppage (many considered in the worst stoppage in a while) when he fought Vivian Harris in Mexico a few years ago. I'm not condoning bad decisions, stoppages, but I don't remember hearing Lucas saying his fight with Harris was inconclusive and he would give him a rematch. Harris was chasing Mattyysse for a rematch for an entire year!

It was close but Lucas definitely deserved the decision. I had him win by a point. Devon was crearly overrated and will not be able to hang with the elit group for long. He also will have trouble if he goes up in weight, so I guess this is it for him. He will become a B level opponent for feature prospects IMO.

By the way, that rican judge should have been shot on site. What fight was that dude wachting. I'm 100% rican but that dude is an embarrasment to us.

A lot of people had the fight scored close. As did I.

In two rounds, Lucas badly outlanded Devon. But those 2 rounds alone accounted for over 40% of all the punches Lucas landed in the entire fight. Devon's work rate was pretty stable, so there was a lot of rounds, Lucas gave away by not being active enough.

Obviously, he was landing more meaningful punches, but he also wasted a lot of that in just 2 rounds. The other 8, he wasn't working enough to show round control, etc.

I'm pretty amazed at how loopsided people think it was. Lucas only landed 10 more power shots the whole fight, 20 total more punches. Obviously, there were rounds you could give to one guy or the other.

It was close, but Matthysse did get robbed, plain & simple..The fight was in Missouri(Alexander's home state) & was promoted by Don King(Alexander's promoter who originally is from Missouri) so with that alone Mathysse was already down on points before the fight even started!!

It seems that alot of Afro Americans here have Roy Jones Jr syndrome. Its ok to admit your guy lost to a better fighter and it will not make you any less black in doing so. Matthysse fought for the right at a title shot and Alexander just fought to survive. If people want to believe that Alexander did enough to win and dont want to believe where they fought decided the outcome, theres nothing i can do. Im just surprised No One is blaming Don King, who was notorious for setting up fixed judges in the past, with having a hand in this Horrible Decision. Matthysse v Judah was a close fight..this crap was a Robbery

Devon is so short with his punches.

I would put Alexander on a very active bum tour, fighting very often until he can relax and figure himself out.

                    Get a new trainer Devon.

And the Lucas comments. He's overreacting because he just got this bad decision.

I thought he beat Zab by 3 and Alexander by 1.

It's the first time I watch Matthysse fight and 4th time with Alexander!

But in this fight, Lucas definely won!
                      More Active! More telling blows!

I know Devon has power... But I didn't see in this fight!
