Wlad would be more cautious with his output as he has had problems with his stamina in the past. Toney would have problems reaching Wlad and Wlad would probably get a decision win or a KO if he caught Toney with a big punch.

Toney would look to slip Wlad's jab, and get in on his body where he'd be most effective and Wlad would be least effective.

I think you're speaking in absolutes, and not giving JT enough credit.

I've seen several people in this thread say he has no chance.

A fighter as good as Toney has a chance against anyone.

...Yeah, and I'm not one of those who says he has no chance. I just don't like his odds. Toney is an amazing boxer and he will never cease to amaze me with his condition or lack therof and his ability to still fight his fight and appear to not be effected adversly by his poor conditioning. He is a one of a kind fighter and I would much rather see him in the mix than Byrd or Ruiz any day of the week.

I believe it's a total mismatch on paper. Toney didn't carry his power when he moved up to heavyweight and it shows.

He's going to have a very hard time punishing the body when he is shorter by about 5 inches. The jab will be in Toney's face all night long. Wlad has fast handspeed for a man his size and he's going to absolutely punish Toney.

Total mismatch. I would bet my mortgage on this fight.

Toney is 5 inches shorter for god's sake. You really think Toney's going to fall into Toney's trap and fight an inside fight.

Give your head a shake. Wlad is class. He's had plenty of experience and he's going to stay on the outside and box just like he does in all of his other fights.

Proper visual representation of such a showdown would be a steamroller vs a milk dud.

Toney could KO Wlad. Rahman is a much more durable, resiliant induvidual than Wlad, so don't let Toney's last fight blind you- he has KO power, and I think could hurt wlad with a single well placed punch. But, I honestly think that's a fight Toney could end up getting hurt in being so much smaller than a big, skilled powerful fighter like Wlad, yet a fight I would love to see.

                      I don't buy that.

Rahman was knocked into the third row against Maskaev.

Rahman was knocked out cold by Lennox, in turn racking up one of the most brutal highlight reel knockouts of all time.

Wlad was knocked down by Sanders, Brewster, and Peter multiple times....yet he managed to rise off the canvas because he has something Rahman doesn't:

                      Heart.
