manny pacquiao has never made this much guaranteed.he only gets 27% of his contract and has to rely on ppv buys to get his max pay. on the other hand mayweather gets large guarantees up front.

The budget for this fight was probably 42mil and Ortiz is making 2mil. He has absolutely zero bargaining power here and is just happy to get a crack at Floyd. Props to him for taking the fight.

Personally, I think Floyd's combined purse along with ppv upside can amount to $40mil, but I dont see HBO/GBP committing to a $40mil guarantee for Floyd against a fighter with both an unproven fanbase and lack of drawing power such as Ortiz.

Floyd has a history of lying about his purse amounts. He claimed he made $20mil for his wrestlemania appearance when it was actually $2mil. He also claimed he made $70mil for his bout with Mosley! LOL. No way.
