Please the powers that be dont let him make 40 million. That is far too much and he will retire again as a result. Just give him a decent wage of 6 million.

The best athlete on the planet deserves that type of cash. When Micheal Jordan was in his prime he made 40 million in his sleep. On Septmber, 17 Floyd with help from Victor Ortiz will put the biggest entertainment event of event of the year. PAY THE MAN.

The Mayweather fight the world would like to see is with Manny Pacquiao. If Fraud Mayweather and somebody else...then it would be just another comedy show. If Floyd is really good as what his camp is saying then why avoid the P4P king Manny Pacquiao. The Pacman already agreed to the random test that Floyd is whining about, the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight should happen. The Mayweather camp should refrain from making excuses to prevent the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight to happen, PLEASE DO NOT DISAPPOINT THE WHOLE WORLD.

Possible if its a 98/2 split.
The budget for this fight was probably 42mil and Ortiz is making 2mil. He has absolutely zero bargaining power here and is just happy to get a crack at Floyd. Props to him for taking the fight.
Personally, I think Floyd's combined purse along with ppv upside can amount to $40mil, but I dont see HBO/GBP committing to a $40mil guarantee for Floyd against a fighter with both an unproven fanbase and lack of drawing power such as Ortiz.
Floyd has a history of lying about his purse amounts. He claimed he made $20mil for his wrestlemania appearance when it was actually $2mil. He also claimed he made $70mil for his bout with Mosley! LOL. No way.Last edited by Deevel916; 06-07-2011, 06:54 PM.
