Im sure Freddie Roach and Pac would work hard in training camp to try and counterpunch this when Floyd throws it. Floyd when he throws the lead upercut, looks open to a counter right hook. That's if his opponent is quick enough to time and land it.

Pac does throw a lot of counter right hooks, but with Floyd it's hard to figure out when it's coming.
What is Floyd being afraid most are those punches he can't see it coming like those ktfo Hatton and kd Cotto/Mosley. Trust me, Floyd outboxing Pac until those punches start landing and quickly change the fight into marathon.

Floyd may land some straight right but it won't do damage to pacquiao.

I think Pac's corner wont be bothered much to Floyd's punches, I think they should be concerned on cutting the ring.

I agree! Pac can take Floyd's punches. He will not hesitate... or even need to test if he can take it like what he did with Cotto. Pac can just press forward all night. Pac doesn't need to counter because Pac will initiate contact!

            Here's the scenario:
            1. Pac comes in with a 5-7 punch combo. In the middle of the action Floyd counters with a 1-2 punch that Pac doesn't even feel
            2. Repeat all night (I don't want a KO .. I want to see Floyd's face like Marg).

Floyd straight right & lead uppercut are not a problem for Pacman. The thing is that Floyd is fighting now the way Pacman would like him to.Floyd doesn't use his feet like he did when he was younger. All Floyd would need to do is train himself to fight based on movement & it's a wrap.Ancient Mosley & the tiny Marquez both showed that Pacman is limited when facing angles.Floyd is the most superior boxer at the lower weights.Timing & angles(if it's Floyd giving them) are gonna thoroughly outclass Pacman.Because Floyd is better & bigger at everything than Marquez.

I'll give that Floyd is probably harder to hit. But if you watch the slo-mo's of Pac's combos, the first or second punches actually serve only to set-up the third and more coming behind. Basically he gets better hits while the other fighter is reacting from the earlier punches. Those are the ones that they dont see because they come too fast behind the previous punch. Floyd will have to adjust and anticipate the flurries in order to effectively defend. That is why it will be an exciting fight!

Nope.Timing-Marquez was highly competitive against Pacman because of his great timing.Floyd has better timing than him.

Movement-Mosley & Marquez effectively reduced Pacman's punch output with Movement.

Mosley did this shot & 40 years old.Pacman couldn't cut the ring off & had problems dealing with it from him.Floyd was always much better at moving than Mosley.Move, time him, reduce his output, confuse him & make him look ordinary.

Pacman is able to cut the ring if he is 100%. With the Mosley fight he is suffering from leg cramps - probably over-trained because he ignored Ariza and Roach's order to rest before the fight. I don't think he also has the motivation to actually hurt Mosley. There was a glimpse of the real Pacman in the 10th round after the "KO" when he actually pursued Mosley and got some big hits. If the Pacman-Floyd happens I don't think Pacman will let Floyd just run away. Too much bad blood between the camps for that.

The Marquez fight is too long ago.. Pacman is still getting developed then. People have to remember that until Pac came under Roach he doesn't have any top caliber trainers to teach him (Unlike Floyd who had his dad and the US Olympic team to train with in his early years). Pacman before Roach was just raw power and determination. It took years for Roach to mold Pacman into a better fighter. We'll see how Pacman improved with the Marquez fight.
