That is why he beat the great Rodney Jones~ oh wait he lost that fight.

it's about fighting top competition constantly even when you're injured or not your best or burned out.

ali, srl, etc. would be undefeated if they fought once a year.

He has the skill of a bum and the heart/chin/workrate of an ATG so it works out. He would not let Floyd breath. He would not be stopped by anything Mayweather landed. Add in the fact that Marg would have been the biggest guy Mayweather had ever faced. No doubt he would have been tested.

margarito the 18 year old kid who just turned pro? yeah that fight was totally relevant ten years later. i guess you should have used google on that one instead of making a fool out of yourself.

So what if a guy can never be effective what good is that~ ineffective is ineffective.

Marg's a freak he'll never stop following Floyd around, no matter how many counters. It took Mosley 10 rounds of clean power punches, and Manny couldn't even take him out. Margarito would not let Floyd breath. He'd have to fight harder than ever, box better than ever to win a decision.
Good points, i don't expect PBF to move around as much as we've seen him in the past, it's more likely gonna be a mix of some side to side movement mixed in with a lot of hittin' and holdin' on PBF's part.

One thing I think alot fans underrate with PBF is his strength(not punching power). I actually think PBF might be a stronger guy than 'Rita, and PBF knows how to make those lil subtle movements on the inside to put himself in great position to fight back.

He was overhyped because Mayweather left Top Rank, so Arum needed to build up his next cash cow. Cotto was in the making, so Margarito was being build up to be this vicious, plastering, maniac, then Santos stopped that train for a little while, then Williams stopped that train again, Margarito beat Cotto finally a top fighter, then once again Mosley calmed the hype down once and for all. Pacquiao put the nail in the coffin.
exactly.people like to make the comparison to castillo when you talk about that fight but castillo was a smart pressure fighter where margarito is just a pressure fighter look how much he gets hit and how easy he gets hit

Great narration and basically the same thing I've been saying for the longest time. The only skill Margaritto has is his heart. But after Pac broke his face he will never be that type of fighter again. He might as well retire.

How many guys ever beat Floyd fighting like that even when he was a youngster, zero. So I have more proof Margarito would get out boxed than Margarito could get after him.

Exactly how many guys did he beat that even remotely resemble Floyd~

Google up some more Arum, Doug Fischer or Steve Kim quotes~

The bold is the exact reason why he wouldn't be competitive at all.Remember Floyd was the 1 muscling up on Mosley, not Mosley on Floyd. That is what people should realize,Floyd is not weak.Margarito will not be competitive with another elite fighter ever again.Matter fact should him & Cotto meet again,he gets stopped. He's done, stick a fork in im.
