Honestly I always thought Floyd would of beat the crap out of him. He should of fought him, but honestly I did think he was very wary of Margarito back in 2006.

margarito is someone who has no defense,no foot work,no speed,no head movement, his jab is so slow when he throws it..it takes 10 minutes to arrive,I mean if he was any good pac wouldn't of fought him ..margarito is a bumm who could only fight when he used his bricks because that probably gave him a mental edge..he's simply a bumm and I hope he won't return to fight.

*** no. That cheating piece of garbage can't beat a world class fighter unless he is cheating.

PBF would be a heavy favorite in this matchup. But, PBF doesn't move around as much as he used to. So, I think now, 'Rita might have a better chance than at any other time.

Also, PBF's punch output is average at best(eventhough he connects at a high percentage) 'Rita's constant attack might force him to come out of his comfort zone.

He was overhyped because Mayweather left Top Rank, so Arum needed to build up his next cash cow. Cotto was in the making, so Margarito was being build up to be this vicious, plastering, maniac, then Santos stopped that train for a little while, then Williams stopped that train again, Margarito beat Cotto finally a top fighter, then once again Mosley calmed the hype down once and for all. Pacquiao put the nail in the coffin.
santos didn't beat margarito twice. the first fight was a NC and the second fight was a controversial decision that i thought margarito clearly won. williams, mosley, and pac aren't really floyd type boxers now are they? they beat him with volume and power punching. guys that tried to box margarito got worn down and beaten. obviously floyd understands this more than anyone hence the ducking.

Mayweather box circles around Margarito...EASILY! Don't matter if they would have fought in their PRIMES or NOW!

Arum was pissed that Mayweather left him and Top Rank so he basically tried to RUIN Mayweather's image by saying "Mayweather Is Afraid Of Cotto and Margarito" and the SHEEPS believed it

I don't think he could now, but in 06/07 I think he had a good chance.

Hell there are ****** people on here who believe that Margarito can beat Martinez right now.So if they believe that then it's plausible that they believe that he can beat Floyd too.

Actually just seeing what it took Mosley and Pac to do to beat Marg, and seeing what Cotto had to do just to be competitive, I give Marg a better chance than ever before. He'd at least be competitive I think. Before I would say an easy decision for Mayweather.

Marg's a freak he'll never stop following Floyd around, no matter how many counters. It took Mosley 10 rounds of clean power punches, and Manny couldn't even take him out. Margarito would not let Floyd breath. He'd have to fight harder than ever, box better than ever to win a decision.
