I thought Peter was gonna KO Wlad, I'm not ashamed to say it. Wlad fought a smart fight.. but he is still a knockout waiting to happen. He wasn't KO'd tonight but he will be. Peter gave him all he could handle.

as long as Wlad isn't Knocked down 3 times in one round, he can keep fighting all night for the win, so what difference does it make if he gets knocked down, as long as he gets up before the 10 count, like in this fight, where the 7+ illegal blows of Peter couldn't stop him from getting up and fighting for his life, and consequently for the chance at a title shot.

you might be right, but it's also illegal to disobey the ref and throw punches when a tie-up is in progress. He shouldn't have been punching in the first place, regardless of the style of punch. The ref was pretty garbage, as he only gave warnings all night and half the time didn't even notice many of the illegal occurances.

What were they watching? They bitched about Wlad holding.....but never said a damn thing about Peter's illegal punches off the clinch.

Actually......If Johnson was Disqualified against Ruiz for low blows......

I thought Peter should have been suspended for those tactics.

I picked Peter to win by KO/TKO after 6. I absolutely loved this fight, i expected Wlad too box and hold, but i never expected peter to be so lathargic in the final rounds. I hope Brewster wins his next fight, and Wlad avenges his loss. I loved this card, better than alot of PPV fights that have been out recently.

yeah man. Wlad was so damn impressive tonight, he's turned into a LEGITIMATE threat. I think he would have alot of trouble with Rahman though, cuz Rahman has power and good handspeed.

I want to see Kirk Johnson in the HW picture. He's a damn good fighter on his day, and when he's in shape.

definitely poor officiating.. the system should work, you give them a warning... "hey, stop it!" if they continue, take a point... "i warned you, now you suffer a point" then they should stop it ... after that, they can get DQ'd

with none of this happening tonight, Peter kept doing it over and over and over and over and over and over.

all of this right at the cusp of the death of a good fighter from that town, none the less... just doesn't make sense. they need to really attack the dangerous aspects, like being punched in the back of the friggin head!
