I think Peter took this fight too early myself.

My problem with most people on here dicrediting Wlad for his style in the fight is these same people more than likely praised Holyfield for getting away with worse holding against Tyson and praise Ali for doing the same thing Wlad did. People's bias too many times get's in the way of their judgement. I would be pissed at Wlad if he pulled a John Ruiz and just jabbed and then clinched his way to victory but everyone saw that was not the case, Wlad tied up only after Peter tried getting inside on him. He hit Peter with some clean jabs and hooks all night something Ruiz never does in his fights.

Some of these guys just can't accept that Wlad is at least a legit heavy. The kind of **** that went on in this fight (tieing Peter up) is ok with them as long as the guy they want to win is doing it. If Wlad had Tied Peter up and got KO'd, nothing would have been said because their guy won anyway. You see clearly that they don't want to hear about the rabbit punches even though they were clearly intentional, because they saw that the punches were affecting Wlad to some extent and the illegal punches represented Peter's chance of winning. I admit the **** about Wlad going to court to change the rankings was gay, even though the boxing organizations are clearly corrupt and get away with murder on a daily basis. But Wlad still proved that he can deal with adversity at least to some extent, and execute a different fight plan for 12 rounds when Peter shook the right hands off. Peter also proved a lot in this fight. He can be ko'd, but nobody's going to be talking **** about his chin. Peter's still going to make alot of noise in the division, as long as he gets a trainer that will train him to at least throw some straight punches, instead of just hoping Peter will land one. But damn, give credit where it's due!

Speaking only for myself here....Peter did hit him behind the head many times, but honestly it didnt look intentional to me. (Keep in mind I say this not caring who won...I saw what I wanted to see from Peter...good chin....and for now thats enough for me) It seemed that the majority of those punches landed when Wlad had him tied up and he was just flailing away at Wlad, trying to land something. Alot of the time Wlad would tie him up and start to turn away afterwards while peters punch was already in 'mid flight', therefore it landed in a illegal place. To me intentional, as in intent to hurt, is when the guy throwing the punch is holding one arm of his opponit while delivering a blow to the back of the head.....like Mayorga likes to do. I could be wrong, but I just didnt see anything malacious in what he was trying to do. He'd be swinging for the rooftop and wlad would tie him up....so his punch landed behind the head instead of where he really wanted it. Considering that Wlad is a few ft. taller than peter, I think it would be pretty hard to accurately rabbit punch him on purpose.
Peter never made a habit of that with other opponets, so I'm not so quick to think he was deliberately fouling all night.
He's also EXTREMELY green, with lots of time to improve. Apparently we've seen Wlad's 'improvement' and it was far from impressive, in my opinion.
A win is a win however, but look at how much learning experience peter "won" due to that fight. With a better trainer and a decent amount of wt. loss, he can learn all he needs to to be a better boxer. What about Wlad?? How much can he still learn and change his style?

The tying up that Wlad did kinda reminded me of Lewis. Just more of it.

Lol, sure it did. So now your boy Wlad is trying to copy Lewis' style, since his own didnt work for him? Awwww come on, are you trying to say all this time you've secretly been a lewis fan?? If not, then you had to have been displeased with Wlads performance, since you cant have it both ways.

I'm pleased he won. And I think he's learned how to protect himself better. And with Steward in his corner, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the tying up reminded me of Lewis.

BTW, I knew you were messing W/me, as I was w/you.
