cortez should've gave kirkland the benefit of the doubt. I mean jmm got knocked down 3 times and they let the fight continue. ****in cortez was wrestling kirkland down for ****'s sake... atleast let dude get the **** up.
Cortez just needs to retire, hes even worse than the texas ref Laurence Cole and thats saying a lot.

It's always irritating to find myself agreeing with something Mayweather Snr says.

JMM is a world class fighter and deserves greater benefit of doubt than an unproven prospect.

LOL. A shame aint it. I was thinkin who the *** says that in 2011.

I still have hope for Kirk. Thats the type of fighter I expected. It wont be his last lost but we'll still get some fireworks from him in the future.

You have to think about the type of knock downs they were. JMM's knock downs were more flash knock downs. He wasn't that seriously hurt if you look at his face, his expression and his reaction to the ref.

Kirkland was seriously hurt from the first KD. After the 3rd KD he was basically out. If he would have gotten up and got hit with a huge shot as a defenseless fighter, people would have killed Cortez for it.

I think Cortez is a good ref and gets a real bad rap.
